Yes. Any thread that was created with no content will be deleted and can be restarted at any time.

Sure, but the freshness and spontaneity of the original will be lost so that now only the Gods of the www can have access to the hard work and dedication I put into that post.

I assume that you are going for humour, and not sincerity.

Just in case I am wrong, and you are somewhat sincere with this comment, then:

Take it as a learning experience. One that I am surprised you did not already know.
Select All → Copy → New Text Document (1 example, but there are other choices) → Paste
Then 'Submit Reply'

Could be due to my (sometimes) crappy internet, that I learned this lesson long ago.
