Obama to hold a news conference on Wednesday

President Barack Obama will hold a previously unscheduled news conference on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. ET in the East Room of the White House, spokesman Jay Carney announced.

The news conference comes as Obama faces mounting unhappiness over the U.S. economic performance, as well as controversy over his refusal to seek congressional authorization for U.S. participation in the NATO-led military campaign in Libya.

I predict more lies, more empty words and more excuses. Just another typical US president speech basically.

Or he's gonna announce something stupid like another stimulus package for the economy, or the bombing of Syria or accept all cuts that the republicans want to raise the debt ceiling...

Or eh, maybe he's gonna resign...

I shall hope for either his resignation, or disclosure. Unfortunately we will get neither.

A bipartisan group of House members will file a lawsuit Wednesday challenging U.S. participation in the Libya military mission.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama is set to defend U.S. military involvement in Libya to Congress, according to the White House.

The administration will provide a report to address a June 3 House resolution that raised questions about the president's goal in Libya, how he hopes to achieve that goal, why he has not sought congressional authorization for involving U.S. troops abroad, and how much the conflict will ultimately cost, White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said.

I think you pretty well nailed it with this sentence...no matter what we can almost be certain it will be more lies, more empty words, and more excuses...no matter what he says.

He could announce complete knowledge of aliens at this point and I wouldn't know whether to believe him or not...I suspect it will be about Libya also...but who knows at this point it could be just about anything.

I am curious...it should make for some interesting watching!

In other words before they scheduled it they unscheduled it to make it sound more ominous.
