Using paper currency with an intrinsic value of almost zero to buy less paper with an even less intrinsic value. Well done bidder!!!

Good job the seller has no returns, imagine if he wanted a refund after paying for it, if the bidder does pay for it. And if he doesn't pay for it, just imagine the 10% final value fee that ebay will be asking for

That's ridiculous! I just bought that same exact paper the other day for .35 cents. I hate to see people make a profit off of a tragedy such as this, but if 14 people have already placed bids, than I say stupid is as stupid does.

What a bunch of idiots! the newspaper at most cost 1.25. most weekday papers are only between 50 cents and 75 cents.

(ponders taking a screen shot of the paper, and putting it on ebay for....one million dollars*..)

So some idiot is prepared to pay over $100,000 for a newspaper that reported the death of someone who made a living and name for themselves by doing stupid stuff to themselves and their mates!

I believe that only thick retarded people still enjoy stupid shows like jackass once they are over the age of 20 and matured.

Were as once when I was a teenager I would find it funny watching them do stupid stuff I now just see it as absolute idiocy and diabolical that people can make so much money of acting the fool.

What about all the dead soldiers, who has ever payed $100,000 about a newspaper story about one of their deaths!

I'm gonna be making some calls and watching the auctions - I see a couple on ebay with insanely high bids and prices - but I see others ending sooner with no bids starting at $9.99....

It makes me wonder if there isn't some shill bidding going on there....

in the meantime, I live close enough, I want get one of these newspapers for free and make a million $$$$!!!

to those who think its immoral to make money off his death...
have you seen some of the stuff he did on jackass to make his money????

besides, I think he'd want it this way

The worst thing I saw on the news was the amount of regular people who specifically went to the crash site, and not even a full day after it had occurred, just so they could retrieve any piece of the remains of the car in order to go on and sell it on eBay - which they openly admitted to!

It's disgusting IMO.

I'm not disagreeing with you.

I am just wondering who is more disgusting-
  • The people searching for the pieces to sell?
  • or the idiots willing to pay for it?

  • Personally, I'd say the people who went searching for pieces to sell...

After all, It does take a certain lack of morality to see a young man's life cut short like this, to think "Hmm, I can make a nice profit here" and then to actually go out and look for it.. Wow. I just gasped when I saw it in all honesty. It's shocking.

In regards to the people who are buying this stuff though... Well, you said it best yourself really: "or the idiots willing to pay for it?"

I'm going to guess that most of the high bids are fake to be honest.
Lets not forget what show we are talking about, maybe his fans are pulling one final prank for him and getting the ebay seller all excited for nothing.

There must surely be more then one of these newspapers in circulation

I think I would lean the other way a bit, but the two are pretty close to equal.
Both have pushed morals off to the side.

It's going to end like ALL of these hyped up publicized auctions end: The buyer is going to renege with some excuse that his kid got on his computer, he was hacked, they made a bidding error, etc.

Every... single... time something like this pops up, the auction gets totally over inflated and the winning buyer cops out. lol Mostly I see it blamed on kids or a 'friend' who used their computer.
