Small Red Orb just seen in Fort Worth

Argh, I wish I had my camera!
A small red orb near 15 thousand feet(or whatever the cloud ceiling is right now) in the air, darted through and went up into the clouds tonight at 3:45 am in about .75 seconds. I had just enough time to get a good look, and that's about it.
Did anyone else get a chance to see this or even better get a pic of it?

Normally I would have suspected a simple shooting star, but those don't move vertically up into the sky. Any ideas or a plausible explanation? I am at a loss here....

Sounds like re-con to me.
