While we could debate the merits of the Iraq war ad infintum, I would like to ask a simple question. What happened to all of the wonderful covert operations that were supposed to be going on? Now I am sure that there are some happening, but not when the vast majority of our Special Ops community are still tied up in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Would it not be more effective to locate active camps, gather critical intel, and let the boys go in and do what needs to be done to these cowards?

I think that if we focus here, rather than on nation building, the recruiting pools for these fanatics would dry up quickly, knowing that once they establish a camp to train in, that their life expectancy would diminish dramatically.

Thoughts?
