Why is it aginst the rules to ask....

Why is it against the rules to ask why '___' is illegal? I posted a thread asking why it is illegal. What the story behind it becoming illegal is. Just as pot has a story about Harry J. Anslinger I am sure '___' does as well. It said that we are not allowed to talk about illegal substances yet this whole form has multiple threads discussing illegal substances. So do you think ATS is trying to suppress information about '___' to keep people from trying it?
