Can't confirm on US sites as not much more I can find yet. Anyone know of this site and why it's reporting this? I've checked USGS and a few others but nothing?

Everything I can see has past quakes accurate. The site has posted on twitter as well.

Umm, lemme guess. They are full of crap?

earthquake.usgs.gov...

An 8.4 rings the earth like a bell, and every seismo around the world would pick it up and show it- with the possible exception of the shadow zone.

Ummm, no. Fail.

Why would you expect an EQ off the coast of Lybia to trigger a tsunami in the Pacific??

Did a quick check and the other EQs on the page seem to be accurate when compared to US monitoring. But nothing is showing for Libya anywhere I can find... Wouldn't a tsunami be generated with this strength if it was centered in the ocean? It says coast, so I'm not sure if it centered on land or not.

You may be on to something although an actual nuke is highly unlikely.

It would come as highly suspicious for an eq to happen right now in that part of the world, at least it would seem that way to me.

Just to be sure, I opened up live monitoring in GEE of a seismo right near there. Nope. I'd be showing huge S-waves on that seismo- there is nothing.

TOTAL BS.

There was no earthquake anywhere NEAR an 8.4 there, and I question whether there was any earthquake at all, period.

Thanks for informing of a BS site. Alerting mods....

Conspiracy bells are ringing loudly! lol

Seriously tho. This is strange as the rest of the site seems authentic.

Notice the question mark in the post? Notice asking for other people to weigh in? Notice ME reporting no other sites confirming?

Relax.

Well, we weighed in, and you got your answer.

And if there's one thing I do know, there was NO 8.4 anywhere on this planet in the last half hour.
