Letter written to the Pope in 1982

Many Catholics will be aware of this letter, but non Catholics probably have no idea of it's existence.

I have been, in 1993 during the worst days of the war. In my opinion this place is the work of a God in action trying to save the world from itself. In 1982 one of the visionaries was given this extraordinary message to send to the Pope. I was a 'cradle catholic' before my experience with Medjugorje. After visiting and experiencing I totally understand that the only saviour is Jesus and that we have all been living a life that offends God greatly in the 20th and 21st centuries.

"Excuse me for this, but you must realize that Satan exists. One day he appeared before the throne of God and asked permission to submit the Church to a period of trial. God gave him permission to try the Church for one century. This century is under the power of the devil; but when the secrets confided to you come to pass, his power will be destroyed. Even now he is beginning to lose his power and has become aggressive. He is destroying marriages, creating divisions among priests and is responsible for obsessions and murder. You must protect yourselves against these things through fasting and prayer, especially community prayer. Carry blessed objects with you. Put them in your house, and restore the use of holy water."

I never really paid much attention to this message until recently. With the events of this year in particular and things looking like they are only getting worse, I think we all need to read this letter and understand what it says, no matter what denomination we are.
