Only 1 of 4 Targets Fired At SEALS in Osama Raid

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Only one of four principal targets shot dead by U.S. commandos in the raid which killed Osama bin Laden was involved in any hostile fire, a person familiar with the latest U.S. government reporting on the raid told Reuters on Thursday.

So Osama didnt directly threaten the Seals now?

It confirms that bin Laden was not armed when he was shot dead, nor are there indications that he directly threatened his attackers, according to the first source and a second U.S. government source who is familiar with briefings on the raid.

They give a step by step version of whats supposedly happened. This is supposedly what happened after they shot Osamas wife in the leg.

After shooting her, the commandos pushed her to the side. Precisely what bin Laden then did, and what his reaction was when the commandos entered and shot his wife, is unclear.

The government said they're not going to release anything else earlier today, but the article also says this.

The Obama administration had given numerous, conflicting accounts of the raid this week, and it is possible these accounts will be revised yet again.

Gotta get there story right eh? It's not like they've made this story unconvincing at all! Lets just revise a few more times and maybe release a final story a couple weeks AFTER it actually "happened". Gotta love it /sarcasm. Maybe instead of the story being correct right now, which there is obviously some major flaws, they should just release some pictures.

If we went in to another country to get OBL, who we are at war with, isn't this considered an act of war? And as such, is it not governed by the Geneva Conventions? And doesn't this state that you don't shoot an unarmed combatant but instead take him or her prisoner? I guess this may be why we're getting the story that they shot him because they thought he had a suicide bomb strapped to his chest?

Probably doesn't apply to the worst terrorist in the world. Or, as someone in the other thread said, to ghosts.

I think they need to send team 6 to the white house and clear up the matter
