Radiation near Japan reactors too high for workers
news.yahoo.com... from the link

they also described in detail for the first time the damage to fuel in three troubled reactors, saying pellets had melted.

That damage — sometimes referred to as a partial meltdown — had already been widely assumed, but the confirmation, along with the continued release of radiation from other areas, serves to underscore how difficult and how long the cleanup process will be. In fact, government officials themselves have acknowledged that there are still many setbacks that could crop up to slow down their timeline.
cleaning up one was bad but 3, and how besides who will do it, and if you think about it they never did clean it up, they entombed it, and that is failing as well see entombed Chernobyl, and this Chernobyl Encasement Deteriorating just copy and past in your search eng, too many sites or just look here search.yahoo.com...

I might be mistaken but I don't see anywhere in your source that "confirms" that it is 3x worse than Chernobyl.
..Peace..

After reading one of the pages from the yahoo search, it does seem pretty sad that even Chernobyl in Europe is also a threat alongside the nukes and now Japan's nuclear troubles.. I also didn't realise that so many people were sacrificed during the Chernobyl explosion either, that could be genocide if its true that 500,000 people were killed to stop the plant causing further damage.

chernobyl had no containment vessel at all, and was a total meltdown which started melting right down toward the center of the earth. fukushima's reactors have a steel and concrete floor beneath them which chernobyl lacked completely.

While there are 3 critical reactors compared to 1, it's a meltdown closer to TMI's disaster not chernobyl, just multiplied by 3 and in a location where they cannot properly entomb the reactor cores because it is sitting right at the water table level.

FYI they tunneled underneath the reactor at chernobyl to full encase it in concrete, they cannot do that at fukushima.
