With the recent April Fools joke, a thought occurred to me. A challenge. I thought long and hard about this challenge, and posting this in various forums on the internets...

I was born in Canada, have dual citizenship in Canada and the U.S., and am pretty proud of my heritage; that being a non-American background.

I love what America stood for, even if it was only for a few short decades before your Central Bank took control of your beautiful nation.

I would challenge Americans to think outside of the box for 2012; to vote Nobama, Nopalin, Nomccain, Norommey, etc.

I would challenge Americans to vote for a third party candidate.

I would challenge Americans to rise up against the falsified two-party system that they think actually exists, and put their trust in a Ron Paul or a Ralph Nader, or whomever.

I would challenge Americans to question the fake two-party system that exists in this "republic."

I would challenge Americans to think for themselves for once. To turn off American Dancers, or Survivors, Ax Road Truckers, Dog Bounty Hunters. To stop eating at chain restaurants. To stop wanting the white picket fence, secure upper-5 figure job, trophy miserable wife and 2.5 kids. To throw away the Iphone's, the Ipod's, the Netbooks, and try to learn Linux on their own.

I would challenge Americans to look to the stars, embrace the fact that we're not alone in this universe. To question their religious leaders, to debate and argue with those who believe in things that we just flat out know are not true.

I would challenge Americans to petition their leaders. To write letters, to make phone calls, to promote peaceful demonstration; peaceful change. And if that doesn't work to use the Second Amendment, legally or not, to enforce change.

I would challenge Americans to serve their country in one form or fashion, be it horticulture, military service (I served in the U.S Army Reserves for 4 years, and I'm not even from here), or green energy.

I would make these challenges...

But I know that America would let me down, as it has let the entire world down. But is it America's fault? No. It is not.

Some of you may be new to ATS reading this, and that's fine. Congratulations on your awakening. The rest of you already are most likely in agreeance with me on this topic.

Hope.

I see Americans nationwide starting to realize the truth; that this economic system we live in is unsustainable. Just like Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Imperialism, you name it. Every societaly system, is ultimately unsustainable. Don't worry. The universe is made that way. We're not supposed to be the same forever and ever and ever. Change is good, and some of you Republicans (believe it or not, I at one time, too, shared your views on the right) have to start realizing; your Republican leaders are not who they seem to be. They serve the bankers, the people who practically invented the monetary system.

Ah, but here is where the disinfo starts. Reptilian lords from far away want to control Earth via currency and a few hybrids? Get real. These bankers are just smart humans. They knew that currency would ultimately control the human populace, and if they were the ones in charge of currency, they'd have all the power. It's really that simple.

So what is the point of this topic? The point of this topic is to challenge ATS to come up with a viable solution to overthrow the need for currency. The need for money, the need for materialism. How would you do it? What kind of system would you want to live in?

don't take this the wrong way and don't take offense but i have my problems with people who are or claim dual citizenship.

to it signifies that just being an american isnt enough so you retain your canadian citizenship or vice versa..

there no offense meant here but to me your like a fence sitter pick one either your one or the other.

so someone who cant decide what he is is asking people to rise up carries very little weight.

Sounds like a vote for Ron Paul!

I'm Canadian and even I see that he can't be worse than the troll in there now. I actually believe at least 50% of what RP sez.

And that's a lot in my books.

I was actually born in Mississauga, I moved to America in my late teens, I'm now 26.

I don't take offense in what you said, as you do not know the background. I applied for citizenship in the U.S. to join the military and help me pay for education, as well as voting privileges, and the other perks that come with being a bonafide citizen..

I would like to live in an economic system that provides free energy, free water, free food, etc. There are plenty of other things we can use for trade instead of money. Goods and services were traded for other goods and services in colonial times. If they would just stop worrying about money, get off their asses and construct automated systems that provide free services without the need for human labor, everything would be much better. People would have more time for other things and poverty would be nothing but a fading memory. The technology already exists, but they're unwilling to utilize it because they refuse to let go of the monetary system. They act as if everything will be ruined if money is eliminated, but that's not the case. Money is an obsolete method of trade that needs to be replaced by a more efficient system. I don't know how much longer they plan on living in economic obsolescence until it's too late and a revolution takes over to force the change.

I do want you to rally against them. They can't jail 310 million at once; and yes I know...all 310 Million Americans (Source: www.usnews.com...) won't rise up at once.

But think about that number. 310 million. Even if say 2 million, 1 million, 500,000 individuals were to sway the opinions of the blind and uninformed...that would be a pretty powerful army. Fear? They can take my house, my car, they can empty my bank account, and put warrants out for my arrest. I will be fine with my sidearm, and a case of beer, sitting in the corner of an alley waiting for them to come for me and kill me, if that is the case.

Dual citizenship. And it's Canadian. Not Candien. ;-)

You're talking about a Knowledge/Information based society. This is in line of what I am thinking for a new societal system; or at least the next step in humanity.

The next few years are going to play a huge role in humanity in my opinion. People are angry. They're fed up with paying their way, or barely scraping by. Scraps on the table, T.V dinners to feed a family of 4, overdrafts, BP's poor attempt at positive PR during the oil crisis, etc.

Things will change rapidly if the people would have some guts and start asking the tough questions. Start petitions, demonstrations, whatever. And if those don't work, then you have to be tougher. You have to be strong, intelligent, and prepared for the worst.

I don't know what's going to happen. Perhaps a remote viewer can help
.

For "them," the collapse of the monetary system is the end. It removes the need for "them." And when that happens, everything that bankers stand for is ruined. And that's ALL it will take! It won't take a legion of trained soldiers storming the Capitol building. It won't take advanced triangular craft spying on the government.

All it needs is you, the citizen. Unfortunately, so many citizens have the "acquire currency" ingrained in their programming, they are afraid to challenge that. All you need to do is rise up and say "No." That's it.

And that's why the challenge still stands.

If you mean by peace a total disarmament of guns/weapons/etc...is that possible? No. Humans need knives, and other tools to assist them in daily life.

If you mean by living in harmony with one another...is that possible? In an ideal world it is. Unfortunately, Utopia does not exist. I for one hope and dream of a system of peace; but even that is unsustainable.

There are fallacies with every societal system. That goes back to my point about the nature of the universe. No system is sustainable. Even an alternative to the current system.

But, with a little luck, the post-Capitalism era will include more peace than we have had in the pass. Thing of humanity as a work-in-progress.

Plenty of people all over the world eat fast food. It's not just American. Plenty of people watch TV and senseless reality shows from their own country, not Just America. Also, every aspect of my life is based upon the fact that their are things within this universe, existence/creation, we will never understand, yet it's fascinating and only leaves us with our imaginations to ponder what this existence is truly about. People around the world need to look to the stars and the universe to question who we are as a species, and better ourselves and our fellow human beings.

I see where you are coming from, but to challenge "Americans" isn't easy, as Americans, like the rest of the Earth's people, have many different opinions and visions. You rarely see any other thread talking about a country and it's citizens except for America. It's annoying, we are not the only nation in the world who has problems whether it be political/enviromental/social etc. I understand this country was great and it stood for things we may now think are long gone, but like any other country we are going through rough times. As a human I see every person no matter what religion/country as equal, why am I singled out because im an American? We are all the same. Like I stated, I see where some of your points are coming from, but did you really have to make a thread to "challenge" America as a whole? I understand you are challenging ATS, but the majority of the post is strictly about America.

No worries, I was simply trying to keep the thread on track, without people restoring to nationality insults. I love Americans, I just wish they'd wake up sooner.

To have a viable society without money we need at a minimum a self sustainable society on the local level. I personally don't see money going away anytime soon as there will always be a medium of trade for people for goods and services they need. However I am not saying it can't happen but will take a long time and be a slow transition. Peoples mindset will need to change drastically.

But for starters we need to do away with taxes and fractional reserve banking and property taxes. We need to use permaculture to grow all our food locally. With full spectrum lighting and green houses there is no reason we can't grow all the foods we want locally and regionally. I live in Idaho and a lot of the fruit in the markets is from south America. That is just ridiculous. It wastes a lot of energy trucking is thousands of miles.

The powers that be have thier eagle talons in food energy and media we must take those three back. I just mentioned how we can do food. For energy bio-fuels can make is independent easily. Ethanol could be the mainstay, now before a bunch of folks jump on me and repeat all the negative myths about ethanol read my posts on it because everything negative you have heard about ethanol is wrong! It's clean it is sustainable we need no experimental technology to implement it, and Brazil who imports zero oil has proven it along with many others. www.abovetopsecret.com...

For media there is a little known method of getting ads on national TV for really cheap using google ad-words tv ads. www.google.com...

Here is an article and video on it by a guy who tried it out. How I Ran A National TV Ad for $100

We get control of those three things implement permaculture and manufacturing on a local and regional basis and decentralize things and that would be a good start.

These guys are doing somewhat what I have in mind. openfarmtech.org...

There are also folks building cnc machines that can make parts for you like you print documents and even replicate themselves. So a community could eventually even manufacture thier own cars etc. I can't find the link at the moment but will update as soon as I find it.

Update: here we go they are calling the smaller ones 3d printers.

TPTB are not going to fix anything neither is voting. We just need to start building the society of the future ourselves and provide an example for others.

How about actually getting people to vote? You know, like ACORN was trying to do.

The number of apathetic and independent voters outnumber republicans and democrats combined. You need an informed electorate and you need to fix your states 'winner take all' style of electoral vote distribution.

Most importantly, if you want to effect any real change, you need to vote on the local level. You can't just throw a 3rd party candidate into the presidential election with politics and policies that we have now, you're bound to fail. I guarantee failure.

I would challenge Americans to vote for a third party candidate....

Been there, done that, and am working to wake-up other Americans to do the same.

Here is the other half of that, every single one of us should be pushing for, is state law allowing voters to recall federal Senators and Representatives as well as state officials.
Recall Congress Now Org

In Other words the " If they Screw-up Toss the BUMS out LAW"

However this will be a bitterly fought battle. The last thing TPTB wants is their pet legislators worried about what the voters want instead of what they have been bribed to do.

While 18 of the 50 United States offer their citizens an opportunity to recall their elected officials, it is a fact that in our nation’s history, no federal legislator has yet been recalled.

It has not been for lack of interest. Rather, the process has languished in part due to debates on whether or not legal authority exists for recall of U.S. Senators and Congressmen; and, in the case of Idaho, interference by a state court prevented recall of a federal legislator....

After reviewing the body of law and opinion concerning recall, it is apparent that if recall of federal legislators is to succeed, it will likely only be after an intense battle in the federal court system as to the degree to which the courts will go to allow the literal meaning of the Tenth Amendment to be in force and effect.

As this author reads this language, it appears clear that " the States ‘ and " the people " living with in them, should be recognized to have the right of recall.

But in order to implement a strategy that will enable recall petitions to result in actual removal of errant Senators and Congressmen, considerable legal and political obstacles will present themselves and can only be overcome by understanding the lengths to which those opposed to recall can be expected to go...

Eighteen states have recall provisions. Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin all have recall of some kind available to their voters. Only seven of these states require any grounds.
www.uscitizensassociation.com...

Here is added incentive:

Our food bills will be sky rocketing because of the Ag Cartel food bill just passed in December. It "originated" with Rosa Delauro (D). Her Hubby, Stan Greenberg, was a Monsanto "consultant"

Here is more on Stan Greenburg

Weathiest Members Of Congress
John Kerry (D) $900 Million
Herb Kohl (D) $315 Million
Jay Rockefeller (D) $275 Million
Nancey Pelosi (D) $268 Million
Moving up fast......
The Clintons amassed nearly $169 million in the past 10 years of "public service".

But the entry that really sent my Democratic strategist friend ballistic was the one for Rep. Rosa DeLauro, the Connecticut Democrat. La Rosa--tied for #48 on the Richest list--gets the lion's share of her wealth from her husband--Clintonista pollster and campaign strategist Stan Greenberg. Says Roll Call.

"DeLauro's primary asset is a 67-percent stake in Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research Inc., a Washington-based firm run by her husband, Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg. Her share in the company nets the Representative $5 million to $25 million. She has a partial stake in two other polling/consulting firms. The first is Greenberg Research, of which she and her husband own 100 percent, and Sun Surveys, in which she owns a 60 percent stake. Neither of these is as lucrative as Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, however."

My bud the political warhorse snorted, "Hell, when she first ran for Congress she didn't have a dime--I was one of her biggest contributors. And Stan Greenberg, who worked for me back when he was starting out, used to have holes in his socks!" Noting that Congressional wealth is usually closer to the higher than to the lower estimates on the disclosure forms, my dour Democrat gasped, "That means they're making around $50 million! These people shouldn't be running Democratic campaigns!"

So, if you want to know why the national Democrats seem, in this campaign, to have a tin ear where touching the hearts and minds of the working stiffs is concerned, think about this: the three partners in the Democracy Corps--Greenberg, James Carville, and Kerry's chief message-shaper Bob Shrum--are all multimillionaires. And yet their counsel--proferred in an endless series of free Democracy Corps memos distributed to the party elite well before and during the presidential primaries, whose content (or lack of it) they helped shape--is taken as gospel by Democratic liberals feverish for victory. Well, as the old Texas populist Maury Maverick Jr. used to say, "a liberal is a power junkie without the power."

I wonder where those millions amassed "during public service" came from, don't you???

Why are the members of the "Peoples Party" the democrats, listed as the wealthiest, I though it was supposed to be the Repubs??
