news.yahoo.com... i though this would be a good place for this, for it is related to the fragile earth , now for the question could this give japan an out if some country wants to sue, over the fallout, the lack of not responding or any other reason. Mods if you feel this should be put under japan feel free to move it.

PARIS – A French prosecutor wants to drop a decade-long investigation into the fallout in France from the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident, citing lack of proof that it caused health problems.

The world nuclear industry is desperately spewing out BS in every direction to try to limit damage control from the Fukushima situation. There's big money world-wide in these reactors and they want to built hundreds more. They have to generate BS at an accelerated rate to manipulate public opinion about how clean, great, healthy and perfect radiation is.

And when we see people spreading sarcasm and taking people’s words out of context when they are presented with facts, then it makes it clear how unhinged the anti nuke crowd is.

yes and then they will be so happy when we glow , no need for lights, and we will not need heat so it is a fall for them when we do not need there power in the end.

**Sigh**

When people see downplaying, they blame money.

When people see exaggeration of outcomes, or predictions, it's fear-mongering!!

Small amounts of radiation is not really bad, we have evolved around it for eons, both against cosmic and ground radiation. You'll never find 0 radiation unless you're living at the center of the moon or mars.

Dr Caldicott cited a report from the New York Academy of Sciences, which said that over 1 million people have died as a direct result of the 1986 melt-down at Chernobyl, mostly from cancer. She said authorities had attempted to “hush up” the full scale of the Chernobyl disaster. The official 2005 figure from the International Atomic Energy Agency was just 4,000 fatalities.

The NYAS is a credible 200 year-old scientific institution.

Since 1945 the Nuclear Nations have detonated Nuclear Devices all over the world...... Guess how many times the earth has been "bombed"? I'll give a hint.... Do you imagine it's over 1,000? Less than 500? Over 2,000? Less than 1,500?

The entire world lives with "radiation" Alright! ... lol Maybe we should include the waste, contamination and dumping of Nuclear materials through-out the Nuclear "industries" history?

A consideration maybe? Maybe merely omission for some.

Holy crap on a thin wafer! Anti-nuke crowd is unhinged?
So yeah 3mile dosed us up a notch, Chernobyl another couple and now this one adds more. You do know the affects will outlast us all? You do know that this stuff is cumulative and every one adds to the problem.
So all fine if this was the LAST incident ever. But if you believe that I got some beach front in Louisiana for you.
Question is not will this be the ONE but how many more can we take? Unhinged? An industry who claims they are "clean and safe" produces the most virulent waste of any industry, has no plan to deal with it ,and those who think this is unacceptable are unhinged. Some of you are just too high and far out in the land of debunker.
