central ontario daytime UFO

So I just went out for a smoke, 2:40pm Simcoe county, central Ontario.

sky: blue, no overcast, but some "puffy" clouds.

I saw what at first appeared to be a small airplane, 2-4 seater, I say this because it was moving too fast to be high altitude commercial aircraft (747style). I'm always watching the sky and see airplanes all the time (this is my reference point).

It was traveling North north/west.

Upon further observation of the object I noticed that the silhouette did not represent a small engine plane, it was a smooth oval shape. shimmering grey in appearance (due to light reflection I'm sure)

The second observation that makes me think this was not normal was the fact that it went behind a small "puffy" cloud, and did not appear afterwards. (went behind the cloud, but did not come out the other side)

At the speed it was moving, I was amazed that went behind the clouds, it should have gone in front. I say this because things always appear to be moving faster the closer they are to you. but this thing was genuinely moving FAST for the altitude it would have to be at.

As for pictures and videos, I don't have any. The observation lasted, best guess, 15 seconds.

My cell phone was downstairs charging, so don't ask me why I didn't snap a pic with it.

If it came out the other side of the small cloud I probably would have shrugged it off as an optical illusion of an airplane, but I stood there scratching my head for a couple mins searching the skies in a very confused manner.

So, thats my sighting.

What do you think? hiding in the clouds? or maybe zoomed off while behind the cloud?

keep in mind that I am ALWAYS watching the skies, and have become pretty good at identifying aircraft, satellites, etc...This was out of the norm.

Personally videos and pictures provide little to no validity to me these days :/ so I won't ask for images haha

As fort he sighting, I don't doubt that you saw something, I've had my fair share of "I don't know what the hell to think about that".

I would think that it would have zoomed off from behind the clouds, probably to avoid drawing attention.

yeah its just strange to see something during the day, I have seen 6 nighttime, what I would call, UFO's one was followed by a military jet flying low, I flashed my car lights, thinking it was a second UFO, then the jet diverted its course and flew directly over me and my friends, they were apparently looking for something... lol.

Amazing...everyone claims they saw a UFO or some crap. Nobody has ever managed to film or photograph a crystal clear clip of image of it.

This is another crappy thread belongs in the dustbin without evidence.

I never claimed to have evidence, Im not trying to change anyones opinion on what a ufo is. I was just reporting what I saw.


If its bugging you, go take some ufo videos and pics, wont be hard, just sit outside for the rest of your life and hope for the best.

No sound?

Pictures and video blah, blah, blah they have no offer of proof anymore than someone's word these days

yeah there was no sound afterwards, forgot to mention that, I was waiting for it, as its usually delayed, but it never came.

i had nearly the same experience as you. atleast on the description of the craft. the one my friend and i saw didnt disappear though. it quietly just flew across the sky. it looked like a drop of mercury falling horizontally through the sky(if that makes any sense), flying no higher than what the single engine aircraft fly around here.

it was a daylight sighting and flying lower than the clouds. it was low enough to see it had no engine or windows for a pilot, if one would even fit in it. it was an amazing sight and am glad i seen it. it was one of those "right place at the right time" moments

Hey - Good report on your UFO sighting... Well detailed indeed.

As for being a post without video or photographs... So what. It's 2011 and so many posts made WITH pictures or video end up being too grainy to catch detail of anything, or are of better detail but more often than not hoaxed/CGI'd, so this thread is as valid as any.

Hey, thats awesome, wish I could have continued observation, but the thing friggin vanished behind a small cloud. pretty annoying for a UFO enthusiast...

lol yeah, I hate the "pics or it didnt happen" argument. if that were the case, than nothing existed before the 1800's. not to mention all religion's would be bunked lol.

Yeah, but it is also unlikely, when a big thing appears, and everyone has a cam at home(phone, real cam, and other stuff) yet no one seem to be able to film...
And most films and pics get debunked anyways, so why believe some stories without some proof?

why can't they come to south western ontario!

this thing wasn't that big. and would have easily gone unnoticed or though of as an aircraft. not everyone is like us and looking. most look at the ground.

plus i live in a suburban town, we have like... 3 high rise buildings. 125 000 people. also, maybe someone did get a pic, but isn't a member of ATS lol.
