What do you collect?

If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that everyone collects something. What that is varies greatly from person to person (from comic books to action figures to DVDs to bottle caps to military history to sports memorabilia... etc.) but we all have the urge to collect things that bring us joy.

So my question is... What do you collect?

Since I asked, I'll go first:

-Generation 1 Transformers (the 1984, 1985, and 1986 toy lines)
-Video Games (NES, Super NES, PS2/PS1, and GameCube)
-DVDs of my favorite movies & TV shows
-Reference books on Math, Science, and Social Studies (like an Atlas of The World, a Physics book, or a book on the Metric System)
-classical music, and soundtracks to my favorite video games, movies, and TV shows

Versions of Windows...i know...its sad
Hard Drives...I got a 512mb one!!!
Star Trek Seasons....getting quite a few
Music...anything that I think sounds good...i get...I have an overwelming amount of music...

Guitars
Fossils
Kites
Futurama (kind of a closed collection now )

And if you ask my wife: Computers

Hmmm,

I started to collect (american) football cards.
my favorite CDs.

Thats about it.
I know, boring.
But the more I collect, the less time I have on here. he he he.

I collect receipts from memorable meals and drinks on different restaurants and pubs .

1) Books..... lots and lots of books
2) Video Games
3) DVD's
4) Music

ive started a colledtion of Space Marines form Warhammer 40K. i have 7 already and in the processs of painting them. i also have a knight from gondor carrying a flag on horse back.i cant wait to get that one done. im going blind cause they are only like 2 and a half inches tall and i try to get all the details i can.


i plan on making my own little army of em too. so beware.

* Books - Mainly on computer programming (oldies especially, like programming the old C64), the paranormal, ufology, occult, religion, electronics and physics.
Also text documents on anything programming/computer related - I have massive archives of these (any subject you can think of).

* Music - wide variety, if I hear something I like; I get it. Normally it's rock of some sort - I'm a rock 'n' roll sort of geezer

* Computers - Again, old ones especially - from the C64, to old Pentium 1s. Also any old/interesting computer parts to play with.

* Horror movies - you can't beat a good old horror movie.

theres only 1 thing i collect and that is MONEY!

I sit around collecting dust.

In the grand scheme of things my collecting is pretty random.

I collect:
.Rare forms of timber, specifically fiddleback.
.Newspapers with world changing headlines. (Like the first paper of the millinium, Twin Towers etc...)
.Reference books
.Things that are old. (Books, Coins, Bottles etc...)
.Schwarzenegger films (childhood hero )
.Things from my past (I'm very sentimental)
.Cd's/Music (Mostly Metal)

I have lots of other interesting things, but I wouldn't say that they're part of a collection, just a horde of intrigue.

Oh yeah, I like collecting Australian Dollars, hoping to reach $1million+ one day

I like to collect reptiles(for as long as their life is), Music(mainly Rap), RC cars. Xbox and PS2 games,( I get bored with them so trade them in), Cool Pictures I fine online. I think thats it.

I collect DVD'S ,Music , Myth and magic statues, comics, and figures like the T3 spawn.com ones only certain one though that will be worth anything in time, Art, thats about it

books-I like buying books just in case for some reason the book isn't being printed anymore or is banned I have a copy.

dvd's of my favorite shows- i already have every episode of family guy

coffee mugs- i have about 15 mugs i started collecting them last year and whenever i go on vacation or to a museum i get one.
