From UFOcasebook www.ufocasebook.com... I have found this incredible news!
Two policemen that they have seen a black triangular object 30TH October 2010 during routine patrol. Reliable witnesses or hoax?

It was on the morning of the 30TH October 2010, at approximately 9:45 AM when both myself and a fellow police officer were driving around on routine patrol when we witnessed the UFO. Suddenly we both noticed a large, black triangular shaped UFO in our line of vision, this was witnessed by both of us at the same time through the windscreen of the patrol vehicle. The UFO just seemed to materialize, I mean one minute it was a normal, empty cloudy sky, then suddenly out of the blue this huge thing just appeared. I slammed on the brakes and we both watched this huge, black triangular shaped UFO performing mind boggling maneuvers high up in the sky. The UFO was at some distance and some height, but it still appeared to be a very large craft to the naked eye, the UFO would disappear and reappear in different parts of the sky.

This bit sounds a little off..

I would like to add, we do not wish to speak to any kind of UFO researcher, and will not be answering any more questions regarding the sighting, we feel we have covered the sighting in enough detail in our above report.

Surely they would want to discuss it further, they are supposed to be police..

Interesting case,

The pictures look good and genuine to me, the slight soft edges of the craft match the focus of the rest of the image(s).. From just a cursory examination, these don't look like hoaxed images to me..
I want to check this out further and read their report if I can..

Cheers

After reading that report, I see there is a lot very good detail about it.. Impressive testimony of what they say they saw...

The part about not wanting to answer any further questions is actually a very good idea by these officers..If they were to go public, they would get hassled to no end, plus their superiors could end up taking flak from who knows what..

It just sadly is not a smart thing to talk of these things still today, if you are in a lesser position of authority in an agency with a lot of people to answer to.. When they do, they always say: " I wish I hadn't told anyone afterall"

This is no reason at all to think it discredits this report..

That is probably why they don't want to dicuss it.

They are supposed to be police.

This sort of thing can negatively affect a man's reputation.

Amazing what rudimentary photoshop skills can accomplish.

There is a UFO list that a policemen keeps of police sightings....
Perhaps one could contact them, it called PRUFOS or something .
A british copper runs it and has for several years.
thats all i can tell you but it should be an easy find.

Let me guess - you can tell by the pixels and by having seen a few shops in your time?

I am no expert but the first photo is sort of bothering me.

Such a large Triangle flying so low over a mountain but does not cast any kind of shadow?

Once again I am far from any kind of photo analyst but just something that strikes me as odd

If it's a very cloudy day, with heavy thick clouds, you won't get shadows. Look at the striped pole, no shadow.

both pictures as submitted are fakes.

1) there are abnormal pixelation discrepancies
around both objects which indicate a smoothing
process in an editer.

2) The EXIF data from both pics has been removed
entirely. One would do this if they were trying to
cover-up a photo-shopped image.

But don't take my word for it.
Look at it for urself.
It's a lot easier to see the
anomaly if you invert the colors before
you zoom in.

IMO, it's a hoax

Hmmm, it feels fake to me...it just doesn't look right IMO.

EDIT:

1) there are abnormal pixelation discrepancies

Please show us this, people wont take your word for it.

2) The EXIF data from both pics has been removed
entirely. One would do this if they were trying to
cover-up a photo-shopped image.
The EXIF data gets stripped on all images that have been uploaded to ATS media.

why my pelininary reaction is " its fake "

the policeman in the shots - is not looking at the UFO

what physical shape is the alleged UFO ? - before answering - please think about it - its a trick question

for a police " report " , the details are maddenlingly imprecisse ie :

how many officers and vehicles are present at the scene of the pictures ?

my instinct is that its a photoshop - someone has taken a pic of a police officer manning a road block at a remote location and shopped in a very crude shape

PS - if any of the details in the account are true - thier " annonimity " could be shattered in minuites of investigation by the police

Yeah it's always a possibility it is faked..

It was a very crappy camera though.. I take a few thousand pictures with a good SLR every month or so and a lot of mine end up with some things that look like they could have been hoaxed, except that they were not..

I do see some color strangeness to the right of the object in the lower image, but it could still be genuine.. with such crappy images it isn't easy to know for sure.

Not going to comment on whether it is fake or not as unlike some, I am no photoshop armchair expert. You could post a picture of your gran on ATS and it would quickly be denounced as fake and "shopped".. Anyhoo..

Judging by the terrain and not having read any accompanying article, I assume this was either in Wales, Scotland or around the Pennines in England?

All very popular with the RAF for low-flying exercises I might add and the UK currently has several advanced UCAV projects, helped nicely by pinching alot of secret data from the Yanks during our work on the F-35 and other projects.

It is most probably an earth bound craft, if real.

Looks fake to me. Too much contrast or something. But that's just how it looks.
