I dont believe any of this. Why is it people are saying they are so great when they couldn't stop from being wiped off the face of the planet? If they are so in dept with predicting the future why didn't they protect them self?

Relax, I don't believe (opinion, not based by fact) the Mayans ever claimed to be "great" at anything, they just did what they did. They could predict certain things like the solstice and equinox's. Their calendar is also more accurate than even our's today. And the Mayan 2012 prediction is something along the lines of "The Men of Wisdom are going to return" so its not a doomsday predeiction. That is also a trippy prediction if you consider all the new spiritual awakening that is occuring which makes people think that we may have completely misunderstood their prediction in their first place. Or maybe it was simply that, a prediction, it'll come true or it won't.

I'm 11--resolution, crocodile. I gotta say, not a lot to go on in the description. Not just that it's general and could apply to everyone (normal western horoscopes are likewise scripted) but my main disappointment was that I didn't even understand the description and how it might apply to me. Perhaps a cultural disconnect. Do you know of any more detailed, reputable explanation of the signs, offhand? Interesting stuff, but I feel like I don't have the cultural framework in place to make much sense of it.

I'm sure if you searched "Tzolkin" on Google and did your fair amount of homework, you could find a lot about your Tone and Day Sign.

Today is Crocodile, so did anything imparticular happen to you today? I do agree it is pretty broad, but I also do notice some event coincide with the calender.

Yes, I was laid off from my job today. Without notice. No apologies. Kinda harsh. I guess you could say this was a really bad day.

I can definitely see that this correspondence may be significant.

However, being in the midst of a sudden loss of income, I find it hard to "get it" if that means take a purely intellectual curiosity in the correspondence. I'm rather worried, actually.
