My neighbourhood stinks!

Yes thats right guys it stinks as in it smells! At first we thought it was manure but now a if i go about 1 km in any direction it smells like a rubbish skip or a tip. It was the worst near the local shopping centre. Im not claiming conspiracy or any thing just want to know what stinks! I live in South East part of victoria and let me just say its easing now but it absolutely stunk today

Call a local tv station and tell them to get to the bottom of it!

Are there any nearby agricultural industries? Sometimes a rare wind direction will blow some in from quite a distance. I had that happen maybe once every few months in a town I lived in for awhile.

It could come in from up to 30-40 km possibly. So you may wanna check today's wind direction at your local airport's website, and correspond that with any industry that could be in the direction the wind came from.

You might be able to piece it together just from the Internet.
