Sony has finally unveiled the specs of the PSP2, codename NGP. The specs look rather impressive for a handheld:

The NGP/PSP2 will feature a quad-core ARM Cortex A-9 CPU, a quad-core Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX543MP4+ GPU, a 5-inch touchscreen OLED display (960x544), a rear touchpad, dual analog sticks, a gyroscope and accelerometer, dual cameras, an integrated mic and stereo speakers, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G. There’s also a whole new UI called LiveArea, which allows for multiple homescreens and integrated social networking.

That looks and sounds pretty cool.

It's about time that a new (and good) hand-held console was brought out.

Another good review and few pics from tech radar.

Probably; I would guess they'll have only 2 models. One with wifi/3g and one with only wifi.

They're trying to become Nintendo, first the PSWii now the PS DS.
Oh and not forgetting Six-axis was to compete with Wii.

Does this one also require you to have Wi-Fi because there are no game cartridges???

Sontendo.
