WikiLeaks: Julian Assange Claims To Have Rupert Murdoch 'Insurance Files'

www.guardian.co.uk

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, claimed today he was in possession of "insurance" files on Rupert Murdoch and his global media company, News Corporation.

Assange also claimed that WikiLeaks holds more than 500 confidential US diplomatic cables on one broadcasting organisation.

Well I must admit this one is a curiosity level maximum.
Aside from what Wikileaks may or not be...

Fox News, and Rupert Murdoch?

Is this a game of chess with TPTB lining up in a power struggle?
I'd say so.

What about CNN, or MSNBC, or NBC?
This is such an obvious move.

Of course we know that there must exist the left right pardigm to keep the public satisfied.

Yet its laughable that the only news agency he is threatening is Fox? And I am no fan of Fox.
But hey what about The Gaurdian or The Independent?

But hey who cares about the truth anyways?

Its now become an alphabet agency game of professional blackmail.

I'm fed up with all this Wikileaks stuff.

IF Mr Assange has all this wonderful information that some claim is for insurance, why doesn't he release just a little of the real nitty-gritty to show us who are the bad guys and show them that if they mess with him there is more of the same or worse that will be released.

The proof is in the pudding and so far all he's really done since being in prison is stir an empty bowl and wave a spoon around.

Nothing but hype by Assange who has yet to back up any claims he has made. Has assange followed through with any of his threats yet?

There is a 1gb file that is encrypted with high level security that is suppose to be impossible to crack atleast with the current technology that we know about that assange has released if he dies the password will be released and even though I would prefer he not die I would love to have the password so I can open the file and see whats inside

This file is EVERYWHERE so if it actually has some pretty important things in it then there will be some pretty upset people if the info inside gets released

OK Julian that's nice, so when you gonna release the "bank files"? I'm really starting to believe that it should be called wikihype.

Perhaps Mr Assange has underestimated the severity of the blowback that he could expect from the USA. Maybe he has to husband the material against the threats of prosecution or rendition,or even assassination.
The quality stuff has turned out to be a double edged sword, and he cannot release much more without giving away the whole insurance packet.....well, it is possible....

At first, I was all for Wikileaks, thinking MAYBE this was what the people of the world truly needed to get their proverbial "shyt" together.

Now, all I see is someone who is extorting and clinging on for dear life, to his 12 minutes of fame, because he doesnt deserve the full 15..

For gods sake, if you have all this damaging info, release it. By NOT releasing it, you are proving that you are looking for a reason NOT to release it ($$$).

We all know what happened with his information that would make us bring war crimes to our (american) leaders... LMAO (afghanistan war logs).

What a weasel this guy is. No wonder WL is disbanding.

Whenever I watch a movie where someone is being hunted by some evil cabal because they're in possession of top-secret information contained on some disk that they're running around with, I ALWAYS think the exact same thing; just post it to the web. If you want to be safe, share it with everyone! Just send it away from you, and then you have no dog in that hunt, it's out there and short of them going to every home in the world and silencing all the people, you become no more vital to the secret then the next person. Don't "hold on" to insurance files, release them!

Maybe he is having issues with his handlers.
Its become a high stakes extortion game at this point.

Jesus listen to you guys.

Hasnt he already showed he has the goods with the thousands of leaks he has already released?

He's obviously a threat and has something otherwise the USA would be dragging him through the courts like this.

Stop acting like kids.

There's obviously a method and a reasoning too the way he does things.. lets just wait and see.

Smoke and mirrors.

Well if you had very important info and its basically the only thing keeping you alive would you really release it? what would make people not kill you then just because the info is out doesn't mean that will save you because if its already out then who cares bang your dead we have no reason to not kill you now you already released the info...

You know? now I am not saying that is what is going on or if the stuff in the file is really anything important but don't you think that if the government really wanted him dead or didn't think there might be something in there that might give them some problems that maybe they might back of a little bit and as long as he backs off maybe they will let it go..

I mean 1gb is A LOT of txt files/pics/ect whatever is in there and since he seems to have so many hacker friends that have no problems hacking the government systems and people who have given him inside information there is no telling what could be in there.

Julian Assange is becoming highly tedious.

If he has ''insurance files'' on Rupert Murdoch, then why doesn't he just give the instruction for Wikileaks to release them ?

Assange is up a certain creek without a paddle, so what has he got to lose ?

His constant bluffing and, to be quite frank, BSing, is starting to irritate me now.

His attempted blackmailing threats are now becoming a pitiful joke, without any substance.

I dont know that he is a threat. He might be an asset.

Blackmail will not work for him, however it may be beneficial for his funding.

This is a game and there are a lot of power players yet to come into the light.

I would guess the original insurance file was cracked by US alphabet agencies when it first came out.
They usually intercept any encryption patents to ensure that they have a way in prior to them getting the encryption modules out in the public domain.
Years ago they whinged about PGP when it came out, as it meant they had to work for their intel.

Thats how Ms Hillary (cia) Clinton knew which specific foreign diplomats to appologise to,
before the cables came out.

With the intense partnership that exists between Israel and the US,
the never-ending joke of wanting peace in the ME,
you would expect that cables between these embassies would be in very high numbers.
a few benign cables so far, would give plausable reason to suspect Assange sold-out (Ca$h-for-Quiet)
maybe when OpenLeaks.org is up and running, they may stick to their original ideals and dump some real truth
