Illuminati DVD 'wormcode." Privacy violation or hoax?

Has anyone seen Illuminati Vol 1: All Conspiracy No Theory by Chris Everard? It has this warning:

"WORMCODE(r) This DVD videogramme contains a unique tracer code which will be transfered to all illegal copies - even on VHS. Pirate copies of this videogramme are encoded with your name and financial details"
Also it says on the box:-
"WORMCODE: Your name and I.P. address of your computer shall be automatically recorded onto any illegal copies of this videogramme"

I can't find any info on it really. Looks like a hoax to scare people off from pirating his films. Though if it is real wouldn't putting peoples financial details and name create a huge privacy violation? He seems to put it on all his films.

I have seen the movie and the warning, my copy was an illegal copy. I have wondered what it means.. Hope someone has some answers..

LOL on VHS. Yeah It's hoax. If a VHS can transfer that kind of info then imagine what your BD player can send...Your collection of Jenna Jameson DVD's might play against you...

Just sounds like a scare tactic probably because they don't know how to come up with a real type of encryption.
