Library of Congress Is Latest Government Institution to Block Wikileaks

The Library of Congress has blocked access to the Wikileaks site on its staff computers and on the wireless network that visitors use, two sources tell TPM.

The error message reportedly reads:

Ad or Website blocked by LC DNSBH. Advertisements or websites that may be malicious are blocked.

If this message appears in lieu of an advertisement (i.e., on part of the page), the advertisement site may be malicious. However the website is safe to use.

If this message appears on a page by itself, the website is blocked due to potential malicious content.

Does this not break the first amendment of the constitution by limiting free speech? It seems to be becoming more and more common recently what with politicians demanding the site be closed/wiped from the net. Demands that the site owners be imprisoned and in one case there was a demand that the sites owner should be assassinated iirc? So much for the Land of the Free.

Joke of the year. This reminds me for Communism already. First of all as these are U.S. documents what U.S. citizens has the right to read. They're not spies. They have the right to read what their own government is doing.

It's simply pathetic.

Really,, Wikileaks isn't that spectacular they are just more publicized. They have lots of information from recent times, but none of it is mind blowing and some of it is probably disinfo. The whole thing might be a disinfo op, but its probably coming out of mossad. You want real important documents?
