Does anyone write songs ? heres mine

The Dragon

Drifting along this river
of my yesterdays,
The Yellow mocks me
through the haze.

Lingering unanswered questions
threaten to pull me down,
into the churning depths
of painful memories.

That familiar empty feeling
just before the dragon comes,
I bite my lip, fight back the tears
and draw my prideful sword.

By a flick of the wrist
and a delicate touch,
I raise my sword in the air
and this battle has begun.

With a practiced patience
and the grace of a master,
I slowly drink it down
and that old Dragon has been slain.

I battle spirits every day
out on the cliff, but I wont fall,
I draw my prideful sword
slay the Dragon,and have five more
I'm on the frontline every day.

depends what kinda music its ment for... dont wanna say its cheesy but it is kinda emo-ish. whats the dragon supposed to represent?

Good lyrics for metal! I was confused reading it because it is in the paranomal forum. I use to write poems and lyrics - got away from it some years ago.

I think you will find this progression works will with this lyric form.

this program should have placed the C and D over the ending word in the phrase...


and for a possible bridge/chorus lick...
