www.abovetopsecret.com...

The stats and who is on have been frozen for quite some time.

There are 454 members logged into AboveTopSecret.com right now...

The exact same people for nearly 48 hours straight?

5,299 new posts in the past 24 hours
43,076 new posts in the past 7 days
191,053 new posts in the past 30 days
200 new topics in the past 24 hours
1,489 new topics in the past 7 days
6,588 new topics in the past 30 days
3,583 guests visiting right now.
453 members logged in right now
4,610 members visited in the past 24 hours
1,330 members posted in the past 24 hours
3,987 members posted in the past 7 days

All of that has been frozen as well.

And I am sure this is wrong too..

Most logged-in members on ATS at one time:
814 on Jun 23 2010 @ 21:50 GMT.

Before this stopped updating there has been one day where there were shown to be 839 members on, I believe when the California missile contrail was at a peak. Maybe there were even more?

Other records have been broken and we've missed it?

Is there a conspiracy going on here at ATS?

Or just a glitch?

That is weird... really.

Mine stays the same, even after clearing everything, in both IE and Chrome. Logged out and logged in.

Interesting.

I tried again (clearing everything) and still get the same...

I like a good challenge but I can't figure this one out.

Oh well, it is not that important to me.

You said you cleared "everything", did that include cache? I doubt that clearing cookies will help.

Chrome right now, I've tried IE as well, Vista premium OS... Logged in and logged out... Interestingly enough, the top member thread does change or has but these stats have not.... Those screen caps were snipped minutes before posting.

You are a staff member, have you tried logged out? just curious.

If it is on my end, I can't figure it out, the only reason I noticed this is because I do follow these stats and who is on... and not seeing it change at all for a very long time had me wondering what the problem is.

It's not on your end. I see the same thing as you. I guess that it'll eventally update itself. I don't know why it's like this. It seems like some members see fresher data for some reason.

Okay since this is a conspiracy site, and I am a wacky conspiracy theorist I will attempt to answer the above question strictly for entertainment alone.

There are people who use ATS as a form of communications with posts containing coded messages, and a key feature is knowing when group members are online and in the list of [who is on] without ever having to use private messaging, or any other forms of communications, also not having to scroll through specific member posts or profiles to see if they are online or not. If that is done, secrecy and identity can possibly be revealed to those seeking the identities of the group involved.

Not updating the members online list makes this more difficult.. but not impossible.

Of course there is a better technical explanation for this that will make perfect sense, and this feature will be fixed and updated soon... But it is not nearly as fun as speculative conspiracy theory.
