Ask yourself this question.

Why do we look for this big end event that we will have no control over?

Is it because we collectively sense something? can we change this something?

If you had a choice would you want a massive disaster or something wonderful to happen that you have control over?

"Mark my words" , "The end is near", " I got this information from someone in the CIA" is what we hear on ATS day in and day out, for years now. If you read into anything enough or look at the vast amounts of information out there you can find "Something Big".

Conspiracies are always fun to look at, but when they start panic and fear, it doesn't help anyone. Today it seems people feel so bad inside, that they want everything to end or don't know how to change their life, that is why they look for "The Big One", because internally they want it all to stop.

What I would love to hear more, on ATS, is a solutions to problems and issues already happening, but rarely do we get this on ATS. I have personally bought into the fear and panic over the years, but these days it's just like "Whatever"

Something always happens, everyday, every night, every week, every month and every year. Something Big!

Just depends on where your at in the world, or what situation your are in.

The end of the world could be getting hit by a bus, being in an earthquake and losing your entire family at the age of 5. Something big could be getting terminal cancer, having a stroke, getting an incurable disease.

Now "Mark my words", the end will come for everyone reading this, we will all die, some sooner than later, so here is a solution, if something happens near you, help your neighbor out, and if everyone does this big issues won't be so big. When was the last time you did something good for someone or helped someone out?

November 6th will be like any other day for most people, well unless maybe you help someone out of the goodness of your heart, thus having a ripple effect of goodness, in the world.

Peace out,

RT

I don't see many folks saying they don't like their lives. I love my life. That does not mean I like the current state of the world. Where you see people wanting some apocalyptic event to end it all I see people who just want a drastic change in order to feel more control of the lives we allm live in our shared existence. To suggest solutions to the events that unfold before us is great but the real fact is that we have very little way to enact them while there are people in charge with much more influence and power to keep things as they are.

So I have a simple question.

99% of the time you can call out the "End is Nigh" posts by just the title....why open them and read them if you have such a problem with them?

Anyways thanks for the post.
Peace.

Please disregard this post! I had to many tabs open and replied to the wrong one, my bad.
Take care!

The only thing guaranteed or that can be predicted and I know it to be a fact is that my body, one day, will no longer function and will be transferred into another form of energy. Now what happens after that? I don't know. But I do know that it is Nov 6th somewhere and nothing has happened and I hope nothing disastrous does happen. So I agree with you OP. Conspiracies are fun to read and fun to contemplate, yet I take most of them with a grain of salt.

A huge event will not allow freedom for others, but merely scare them into looking for someone to lead them.

When people are fearful they look for leadership.

Another way of thinking is that from the moment you are born, you begin to die. It's what you do with the time you've been given on this earth that matters. If you are afraid and unhappy then you are not living you life right. Go out and help someone. Be a part of your community and make a difference. Be the person that when you die people will come to your funeral and say "I'm sad to see that man/women go, they sure made a difference in my life" If you can do that you have achieved something great and there is no fear or unhappiness in that.

Sheep wander when the pasture becomes barren. It is instinct to do so.

Exactly.

Many people play the victim roles, meaning that other people are responsible for their unhappiness.

More enlightened are the ones that understand they are responsible for everything that happens in their lives, thus empowering themselves.

And empowering oneself allows for eyes wide open.

Welcome to ATS, make sure you post more that one liners like you are doing, since it violates the T&C's and lacks thought in response.

The mods will warn you a couple of times, but after that all bets are off.

I appreciate your concern and thank you for the kind reminder. I suppose I've often subscribed to the theory that a great deal can be said with few words, therefore, by focusing on the thought put into the words chosen, one can evoke thought from the reader.

I think that this has a lot to do with people looking for "something" to latch on-to that would make it easier for them to accept that their own lives are completely borked. Since the world is going to end - what the hell does it matter?

All of these threads about "OMG! Gigantic lizard people from space are going to detonate an EMP bomb over Socialist-Obama's 43 warships!" are created by the authors to make themselves feel like they've "contributed" and to give them something else to focus on, other than their staggering debt, foreclosed house, being jobless for 18 months, etc.

You could look at it as nothing special happening on these dates, or you can look at all the speculation leading up to these dates and say that something special did happen.

So far as I am aware the new tipping point time is around 2.30pm pacific coast time which is 9.30 pm UK time. Currently 8.27 in UK so not there yet!

Well I am to be one of those concerned precisely BECAUSE
I don't have a foreclosed house
I don't have any debts
I am about to enjoy a bit of retirement after a lifetime of work

Get real.

Thanks everyone's well thought out posts.

I think this is a prime example of why we are in this state of chaos, although people work hard in the USA and other countries, most look forward or into the future for happiness.

The pursuit of material things seems to be a distraction or illusion to keep us from enjoying the "Now".

P.S. Congrats on your retirement and living in the "Now"

response to your question of something psychic in the air.
Yes, there is an energy that is there to be tapped in to...it's my stance that you, we, are getting
a more heightened 'energy' not because there is something going to happen, but because we
as a group are electrifying the psychic sphere with our own anticipations and fears .
Its as if the collective 'ID' is being stimulated and thus creating a vaporous creature that is
stalking the psychic realm we individually 'feel' & 'see'...

We collectively really want this present condition of the world to quit oppressing people, for wars
to stop, for jobs to blossom, for nukes to permanently go off-line, for oil spills to cease, for
politicians that are honest and serve people instead of themselves, for GMO crops to whither
and die a permanent death, for hormone & steroid pumped protein sources to be outlawed by
the FDA (yeah, fat chance), also the health reform law to be repealed, for all the exotic &
toxic pharaceuticals to disappear from the shelves, replaced with generic medicines across the board...
these are just a few of the things generating the elevated anxieties on the individual & collective psyches
of the human collective

i wrote this (the above text) today in a post to another thread...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

its strange how one is springboarding from the former...
its tiresome, its getting tedious... know what i mean ???

I like your post and your attitude. I think ATS would be a much more interesting place if people at least took your advice into consideration. I've read about a million prophecies of doom and still not one has come true. For people who are less stable or prone to panic this could cause a great deal of distress and angst for them.

I appreciate your post and your points. Good luck to you!

To expand on your thoughts regarding "doom this" and "doom that". I too often wonder why a great deal of energy is placed in the concept of doom. For some, it may be out of despair. Waiting for something to come along and save them from their place in life. For others, it may be inherent to impose a sense of power over others. The thrill. The shock. The reaction. Doom does not have to be doom. It is all in the presentation. What can be devastating for one, can be a revival for another. As you suggest...where do we go from here?

Experience leads me to believe there are those in life with the ability to see beyond. In most cases, they have been events of pure delight. In others, less than desirable situations. Nonetheless, they are events to be witnessed. Whether it is doom or not is left for the interpreter.

Very much agreed, I feel it to.

What I am driving at is it would be nice to have a scenario of overcoming a huge issue instead of creating more chaos and confusion.

If we could create with our thoughts, what would we create right now?

Would we react to others fear or would we create a feeling of personal strength and power?
