4 f-16 jets fly over really low. About 8,000 feet.

I didn't get a video and I wish I would Have. Over the course of 5 minutes 4 or 5 f-16 fighter jets flew over at about 8,000 feet with their after burners on. Where do you think they were headed that fast and that low? The whole house shook and my ears popped and this is the really interesting part. They had all external aircraft lights turned off except for a small blinking light on the back. What In the hell just happened? I live 20 min away from an international airport also.

What base are you close to? You can go to their website and if training operations are in progress it will have the details. Nobody can speculate without knowing where you are.

Probably nothing, but it is still good to be aware of such events. I think all of us are a little paranoid right now with the Prez leaving the country and everything else that is going on. Keep your eyes and ears open but try not to over react. Trust me, I am saying this to myself as well as saying it to you. A lot of wierd things going on.

One thing you might consider is that many times a year, jets are sent to escort private aircraft that wander into restricted air space. Mostly Pilot error and inconsequential.

Other than the silliness surrounding the wild Homer Simpson thread, all of the stuff about Obama's trip turned out to be just crap from the Internet started by one Indian Blogger. Even the Homer Simpson thing was wrong as the calendar in the episode says April 2010 when the bomb goes off.

All these reports of incidences like this can NOT be mass hysteria or coincidence.

Yesterday, bright flash, followed by a singular boom 3 seconds later happened here in SC. 2 companies full of people all saw/heard it. Even reported it to police. No news, no explanation. Something is up and it stinks really bad.

Don't happen to know which direction they were going do you? Just curious as to which base they possibly came from.

I see three bases near you. Probably an escort if they had their afterburners going.

I live in Anchorage and I get an airshow every morning coming into downtown to work. With three bases near you, you should see stuff like this often.

Why would you link disparate events together like that? That enters the realm of paranoia which leads to all the needless panic we see around here. Look at all the insanity about what turned out to be total fantasy surrounding Obama's trip. All the result of one bad Blogger in India. We've had a great example of how mass hysteria works on ATS all day.

Never seen anything like it before and they were headed northeast. But 30 seconds after the last plane flew over shaking my house and popping ears there was a passenger plane just cruising along.

You would love it here when they are testing engines at the airbase in Anchorage. The roar is deafening for miles and they do it all the time.

In the mornings as I come to work the fighter pilots are usually doing touch and goes and they train constantly. Watching the giant transports come in is the best sight to watch though.

They do not fly over Tulsa very much and the guy that said something about linking my post to India I never linked I to that and we are not talking about india at all. This is a city in south Tulsa where all I ever see is passenger planes.

That's what I'm thinking because that's the direction they came from. But where were they going is what I wanna know and why fly so low and so fast with no lights
