You know... it reminds me of a story.

These days, we are already achieving the dreams, ideas and imaginations of others from a century ago. Working together has made it all possible. I wonder how long it will take until we achieve our ideas within a generation until someone or something decides our tower is high enough and destroys society as we know it...

Trouble is, very few people are working together to achieve anything in today's society.

Well... I think that is an illusion. We are simply only told what we have to know.

Just look at the LHC or the ISS for example. NATO...

The big picture just isn't visible for us from our position as a small part of a very big machine.

You should all check out this amazing short story A Logic Named Joe by Maurry Leinster, written in 1946, which also very, very accurately predicted the Internet. It even goes so far as to predict Internet porn and "Net Nanny" types of software so parents can protect their kids from it!

Nice little Wikipedia article about the story, as well.

The guy was almost prophetic.

Dont let them tell you prophetic vision, science-fiction, speculation, imagination is a bunch of BS...

I love the social programming in this one.

All this amazing technology will enable you to pay your bills and taxes at the touch of a button. And you can spy on your kids with it too.And shop till you drop (out of your futuristic desk chair and on to the teflon carpet)

It's really not that impressive. All you've got to do is imagine the most sophisticated communication system possible, and it'll come true eventually. Everything does.

Here's mine. In the future there's going to be a device which you can plug into your brain and it will record everything you think about onto an external hard drive. Sound, images (still/animated), ideas (as text format in your own language). This will push the 'art pedal' to the floor, and 95% of the best music and art EVER will have been created using this technology. If you think the Beatles or Mozart were good, you aint heard anything yet.

You heard it here first folks.

I dare you to say this isn't going to happen.

Dan

Strangely enough, this will happen sooner or later. They will find out how to record the images we see in our mind. These thoughts we have...they have some substance, some energy-form that can be captured.

Awesome.

Excellent find! S&F

You know what's funny? (and, this kind of applies to conspiracy discussions accross the board). If you were at a bar with a bunch of your buds and had a 'Cliff Claven' moment: "So, uh, fellas... did you know that the idea of the internet was around back in 1934?" Knowing what they do about technology, they would snicker, call you 'crazy', chink their glasses and that would be the end of it. But, there it is, right in front of everyone for the world to see.

I actually chose the Forum "Skunk Works" to post this because its not something people would easily be willing to believe. Then (too late) I realized that its not "highly speculative" at all, its a fact.

Wow! Amazing and yet not surprising. I really think that tptb have so much more technology ahead of the rest they just keep it to themselves for 20-40 years. Just weird Sky.

From the description

should be aware that extreme theories without corroboration are embraced in this forum

For experienced ATSers this just means sources were viewed through an esoteric matrix that hasn't been beaten to death by the MSM yet.

Isn't the inter net an asymmetric signal that no one ever heard of before.
asymmetric internet

So they didn't know or they would have made it.

Tesla's cell phone was interesting and he mentioned television.
It all didn't happen his way yet analogue circuit tuning and digital circuits
he made have brought us a long way.

He did mention TV direct to the brain and as he knew his waves entered
the medium we live in, like our brains and body, who knows what might be
done behind our backs with the notes Tesla wrote down that we can't see.
