Quake felt in NW Wyoming; landslide reported

A magnitude 4.6 earthquake has hit in northwest Wyoming, and authorities are investigating a report of a landslide.

Teton County sheriff's dispatcher Kristen Clifton says no injuries have been reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit at about 11:45 a.m.

4.6 Mag isn't a massive quake, but it was enough to cause a landslide. With the help of rain most likely. No Injuries have been reported.

Earthquakes are occurring now in places I have not seen them hit.
Thats just by looking at the USGS Website. I remember just seeing California, and Alaska filled with squares, and just about everywhere else with none in sight.


I guess that's just planet earth for you.

on a billion+year old planet
we have only been studying it for a few thousand years.

The part that is more signifigant here, is the fact that Yellowstone national park is nearby, which could have something to do with this quake.

That is exactly what i thought... Earthquakes in that area are most likely associated with the yellowstone caldera.

Yellowstone is what came to my mind when I saw Wyoming. And your right we are seeing US quakes in unusual locations.

Feels like something is coming just waiting to happen. I feel it and the only thing I can say is that nobody can stop this. It is real and it is all around the world as if God is in Motion. But maybe it is my imagination and after a week or two everything will settle down. Hope this story has a good ending.
