Mark my words, friends, economic doomsday is almost here. The bubble is about to pop and when it does, well, God help us.

I'll keep this thread short and to the point:

Take a look a the unemployment crisis in the U.S:

Geography of a Recession:

Gold and the Dow keep climbing:
Look at the figures on the right

It always gives me goosebumps when I see gold rise alongside the Dow.

The Fed's Bernanke remarks on the economy:

Ron Paul's statements on the economy:

My equation on SHTF:

Moment of Thought: What happened the last time gold and the dow rocketed together?

Answer: The economy came crashing down soon after.

Now a song to put it all together:

That first video with the unemployment figures is bloody freaky.

It looks like a cancer spreading across the country...

The sad fact is, that's not the real unemployment rate. The unemployment rate is calculated on certain criteria and I know 9.6% or 9.7% is far from the real percentage.

Doomsday may come but that's in every economic cycle. We just need to ride it out and wait till we say bye bye to the bust and hello to the boom

I made a reply to the thread about Ben Bernanke saying that the U.S. economy is worse than people realize.
It's really strange for me, Australia(or at least the city I live in) seems to be cruising along quite nicely thank you very much.
House prices are rising as usual, & I kid you not, just about every school here has a building project happening(albeit through stimulus spending). Property development is rampant, like a 'hungry ghost' type of sickness. I guess people who rely on exporting to countries that are hurting are feeling the pinch(?)
Our 'pollies' are telling us that it's all due to their fantastic work, but I just don't believe it! Surely, TPTB could squash us like a bug! Why aren't they?

Hey pal I'm also from Australia, and I'm telling you now our nation is in no way exempt from this global crises.

Australia will be in a world of pain as soon as the US collapses, or the US dollar. We trade in the dollar. What happens there, happens here my friend
