The sad fact is, that's not the real unemployment rate. The unemployment rate is calculated on certain criteria and I know 9.6% or 9.7% is far from
the real percentage.

It's really strange for me, Australia(or at least the city I live in) seems to be cruising along quite nicely thank you very much.
House prices are rising as usual, & I kid you not, just about every school here has a building project happening(albeit through stimulus spending).
Property development is rampant, like a 'hungry ghost' type of sickness. I guess people who rely on exporting to countries that are hurting are
feeling the pinch(?)
Our 'pollies' are telling us that it's all due to their fantastic work,but I just don't believe it! Surely, TPTB could squash us like a bug! Why
aren't they?

I still don't see it in my field
Biz is still booming
and like I had said before I am still seeing the same amounts of
people in the markets, malls, resturants ect. ect.
I will believe this when It actually happens
