This thread is for ATS members to post their first impression/ opinions on the NBC show 'The Event'. So far it looks like a little bit of bad acting combined with conspiracy theory and bland suspense buildup, but we'll have to see!

I really liked it, girlfriend didn't. It did have a very 24 feel to it, which am a big fan of. Looking forward to episode 2!

Yea, it did feel a little like 24. I also felt a JJ vibe to it, with all the storyline skipping back and forth between different characters. Overall, I will be catching the next few episodes but this first one was kinda bleh...

Nothing big happened really, they tried to throw that little alien tech twist at the end but by then I was already like "Whatever..." Who knows what they'll bring out next though, right?
