Lyrics:

Gazing through the window at the world outside
Wondering will mother earth survive
Hoping that mankind will stop abusing her sometime

After all there's only just the two of us
And here we are still fighting for our lives
Watching all of history repeat itself
Time after time

I'm just a dreamer
I dream my life away
I'm just a dreamer
Who dreams of better days

I watch the sun go down like everyone of us
I'm hoping that the dawn will bring a sign
A better place for those who will come after us ...
This time

I'm just a dreamer
I dream my life away oh yeah
I'm just a dreamer
Who dreams of better days

Your higher power may be God or Jesus Christ
It doesn't really matter much to me
Without each others help there ain't no hope for us
I'm living in a dream of fantasy
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah

If only we could all just find serenity
It would be nice if we could live as one
When will all this anger, hate and bigotries...
Be gone?

I'm just a dreamer
I dream my life away
Today
I'm just a dreamer
Who dreams of better days
Okay
I'm just a dreamer
Who's searching for the way
Today
I'm just a dreamer
Dreaming my life away
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah

I do not know about you, but this is a sort of wake up call to make us change our ways. When I first heard this song, it made me shed a tear, which does not happen much at all. We should try to end the hate and ignorance soon, or the only thing we will be able to do is to dream our lives away forever, and reject our dying society.

Is this song inspirational to you? Does it have a personal effect on you? Or it is only a song, that is used for a profit? ATS, you decide!

If you think that is something to think about, you should give Gojira's "From Mars To Sirius" album a spin. All of their songs on that album truly connect with the situation with Mother Earth/Gaia.

Tesla, Cowboy of the Modern Day

Stormy night under jet black skies, Billy pulls into town
the thunder rolled and the lightning bolts come crashin' to the ground
Cold as ice, hard as stone, as he walks into the room
With another man who was feeling the same way, all hell's breakin' loose

Bang bang, shoot 'em up, bang bang, blow you away
It's a showdown in the no man's land, for the cowboy of the modern day
Come sundown, don't be hangin' round, 'cos the cowboy'll blow you away

Al Capone and the Bad Boy Jones, on the wrong side of the law
Johnny D and his company, always first to the draw,
Gangster lean, feelin' so mean, try to take more than their share
'Cos all they saw was ruling it all, the scent of blood was in the air

So here we are and we've come this far, but it's only getting worse
Foreign lands with their terrorist demands, only cause the good to hurt
The U.S.A., the U.S.S.R., with their six-guns to their side
I see the message, written on the wall, too much anger deep inside
It's a showdown!

or for one that is more along the lines of the Ozzy tune- White Lion When the Children Cry

I'm sure you all heard this classic song by Flobots.

"Handlebars".
Now that's a song...

www.youtube.com...

Link to lyrics:

www.lyricsmania.com...

Here are some of the lyrics...

I can ride my bike with no handlebars,
no handlebars, no handlebars
[fast forward..]

Just called to say that it's good to be ALIVE
In such a small world
All curled up with a book to read
I can make money open up a thrift store
I can make a living off a magazine
I can design an engine sixty four
Miles to a gallon of gasoline...
[fast forward]

Movers shakers and producers
Me and my friends understand the future
I see the strings that control the systems
I can do anything with no assistance
I can lead a nation with a microphone
With a microphone
I can split the atoms of a molecule
Of a molecule
Of a molecule
[fast forward...]

My reach is global
My tower secure
My cause is noble
My power is pure...

I can hand out a million vaccinations
Or let'em all die in exasperation
Have'em all healed of their lacerations
Have'em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don't like'em and
I can do anything with no permission
I have it all under my command
I can guide a missile by satellite
By satellite
[...]
and I can hit a target through a telescope
Through a telescope
[...]

and I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust

I really "appreciate the appreciation" of ATS members with music like this, but may we stay on topic here?

I had forgotten just how much this song reflects my own thoughts.

and just how much I hate humanity's complacency with its crimes against itself.
