Change - Yes we can...

Obama (Barry Soetoro) has:

- Secretly depolyed US special forces to 75 countries
- Promoted offshore drilling, saying it is "not risky"
- Continued Bush's rendition program
- Started a military offensive in Yemen
- Escalated the war in Afghanistan
- Did a TV commercial promoting "clean coal"
- Increased drone attacks in Pakistan
- Put missiles and troops near the Russian border
- Sent ships and missiles to the waters near Iran
- Increased arms sales to Persian Gulf nations
- Continued the occupation of Iraq, in spite of saying otherwise
- Signed agreement for 7 military bases in Colombia

Here's a partial history of Obama's dealings - listed (roughly) chronologically, most recent first:

Paints a pretty dark picture

He is... The War President.

Everybody give a great round of applause for the saviour of the world, the Nobel Peace Prize winner.

What a joke he and his administration are. Sad thing about it all, people bought it.

S and F for you, but of course at any moment his flock will be here declaring you are insane and he's the best thing since sliced bread. It's amazing how people still even have any faith in this guy.

And yet people continue yammering on about birth certificates, Muslim Faith, Socialism etc. etc.

I think it's a classic case of controlling the opposition. People opposing Obama are being lead down a path of red herrings & nonsense while the real issues, such as the ones pointed out by the OP, go unnoticed.

no he's not the "best thing since sliced bread"...but...if the republicans get in, they have said they will:

1...end social security
2...cut medicare drastically
3...give more tax breaks to the wealthy
4...end the regulations for wallstreet that have been put in place
5... cut the budget by cutting the services for the middle class and poor

and let's not forget prayer in schools, abortion, gay rights, privitazation of public services
do the american people really want to go back to that type of governance?

Does it really matter who's in office? I could sit here and list all the crap Bush did but for what purpose? They all have the same agenda, they just put a different spin on it, depending on what part of the public they are trying to appeal to and what they need to get accomplished.

I really think Obama seduced this country into blindness with his "hope" and "yes, we can!" nonsense. Maybe even a part of me held out a little bit of hope. He was very charismatic during his campaign. I can see clearly that it was all crap but in a way, I'm glad because I am now very, very aware that no matter who is in office, no REAL change is going to happen. Neither party has a real solution, just more of the same.

I hope that mass amnesia doesn't set in again, though. I didn't forget about what went on during Bush's 8 years of fear mongering and I won't forget what's going now, either.

I suppose my one little vote can go for someone who might be true to his/her word but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Hell no, but I'd be more effecitive, I'd probably get shot my first week.......I don't think I have it in me to lie to the American people on a daily basis, act in a traitorous manner, or rely on other to tell me how to think and what to say. I'd be labeled so many things within the first day in office that it'd be funny. Besides......no way in hell could I hang out with people like Pelosi and Ried and be civil.

Lets see, the Dems are gonna do away with social security anways when we finally do hit bottom, and haven't the Dems been saying that for years?
Cut medicare.......hmmmm, what about national healthcare, it will save us all.
More tax breaks for the wealthy, is that worse than just giving the money to the wealthy?
Regulations for Wall Street? Who cares about regulations, Obama just gives them the money they would have stolen to begin with.
Cut the budget by taking away from the poor and middle class? How much more do you want to give to the poor? You have generations of certain people who have never lived off of the government dole....maybe time for them to get a job.
Andlet's not forget prayer in schools, abortion, gay rights, privitazation of public services, hmmmm, liberals did away with prayer in school (well Christin prayer anyway). Gay rights, don't you mean special rights? Abortion, yup Obama took care of that didn't he? Privitization of public services.........hmmmm is it worse than government subsidies, loans, (I mean bribery) handed out to the unions by the Dems constantly? Gimme break.......congress screwed us and Obama signed off on it.....
