I understand. However to stop just because some says 'hate' and you avoid it altogether. Isnt it better if we find out what and why that hate comes from, discuss and then find constructive ways to make bridges instead of fences?

It isnt easy and would take a hell lotta patience, but after all, we are humans first before our differences sets us apart. We need each other to progress or we will only face extinction when we start using murders or sanction killings to sort our our differences.

Yes it is patriotic duty of everyone to stop anymore war mongering and create war on false pretense just to serve someone's else interest. Israel should go fight it's own war as it's itching too much for war. No more US blood should be spilled in it, if politicians then also launch war they need to taught lesson.

Israeli govt. is much worse enemy than Iranian govt. not only for USA but for majority of the world. You're enemy is not my enemy.

Now for the OP, I am all for peace but to foolishly believe that Irans nuclear reactor is for non weapon purposes and congratulating them on top of that is disturbing. Maybe you don't understand the implications of a nuclear iran, if they were armed they will be more powerful and influential than ever before and while not necessarily a threat they definitely have that potential, more so then not;anything that creates weapons will surely contribute suffering to the world, so why are you thanking them? you wouldnt be mistaken into thinking that there are twisted people out there who promote violence instead of peace.

First off, how can a government be patriotic to itself? That in itself makes no sense. Furthermore, from what I have read Israel did the same thing Iran is doing, that's where Iran got the idea to pause the international community with sanctions while the keep building it. I never said anything about supporting giving nukes to Israel because I don't, so don't put words in my mouth. You seem to draw whatever conclusions you want regardless of the facts. Finally, not that this means anything because it doeesn't, but A. We don't need any more countries fielding nuclear weapons. B. Isreal has never used them even after the 1972 war where they lost most of their tanks at the time when they were invaded by their friendly neighbors. I guess that was okay for countries to keep ganging up on Israel in your book. Also Israel doesn't threaten to wipe Iran off the map every 6 months either. I am sick of hearing people make excuses for the murdering president of Iran, he meant what he said. Why make it into something else. They have TV shows starting with a bomb dropping on the American Flag, I guess that is good too. When was the last tv show you saw stateside where we depicted another country being bombed?

If your opinion wasn't so biased it be easier to have a debate with you. But you a one sided show, you only see the bad in the US and the Israel and not the good, and you can't seem to take an objective stance.

I would like to extend your well wish to Venezuela, Cuba and N Korea. Despite US pressure they have all gone about their business and way of life. There is no "Axis of Evil" because sovereignty is NOT a sin? Oh, yeah, except the Patriot Act that disagrees with the Constitutional rights. When are we going to replace our dead beat government.

North Korea really. A prison state really. You must not have seen the news of the North Korean pilot killed trying to defect to Russia yesterday. So while you congratulate the government, you oppress the citizens. It's not as if in the countries you mentioned that they could even state their opinion. So no I'm not for other regimes, I am for other people though. You on the other hand are confused, you think regime = people and that is just not the case. To many examples to name, but here are a few, Congratulate Burma NK's buddy too for you know squashing protests for free elections. Congratulate China for squashing Tibetans for wanting to be able to practice religious freedoms. Let's not forget our Taliban friends too what a great bunch of guys who even kill children purposefully. Yea you got your head on straight.

To be honest it does not matter what we think on this message board.

The way this will turn out will be due to those at the top of the pile.

The power manipulators, the corrupt, the greedy, the megalomaniacs.

If Iran gets a nuclear weapon and uses it on another country
then this will come to an end.

For that I feel sorry for the innocent ppl just trying to live
their lives in Iran who will not likely know a Trident went
to the edge of space and released its MIRVs.

www.fas.org...

I think WW3 is already underway but for some ppl they will
feel this is when it began.

We are going down a dark road and the nuclear weapons of today
are far more powerful than the tiny ones that fell on Japan.

I hope that Iran holds their few nuclear weapons as a shield
and not a sword, because the world will burn otherwise.

Yet because of our current government people are suppressed... not so much by Ahmadinejad but by the "religious" supreme leaders. We used to be free at one time... long ago (during Cyrus The Great), people still yearn for that..

Yes, friend, some of us Americans still long for the Freedom we had in the Kennedy years, and we long for such a leader, one who will stand tall against the world for what is right, and proper. I hate leaders who sit on ivory thrones and and steal from honest people at every opportunity. I hate how the Media participates in government propaganda. I hate it when innocents die for no reason, and when America sends soldiers to fight in a war that has no interest for the People of either nation. We used to be free also, friend.
May a better day come for all!

I want to say something to you, and to all of the Iranian People. Last night I saw live the last American troops in Iraq cross the border into Kuwait, the Iraqis are finally on their own. I know that the Iraqis and the Iranians were enemies once, and America fiddled in that too, didn't they? I think the Iranian People should reach out with a helping hand to the good people of Iraq, and help them in their time of need. Religious Extremism cause most of the trouble in this world, that is easy to see. The leaders of the world need to talk freely, and away from the United Nations, which is a Nazi plot to this writer. We are a WORLD now, we are connected to all. Let us make our will known to the official party members who have ruined us across the board. Our leaders are leading us down a dark path, and we can see it, but are so complacent that we do nothing to stop it. Wars are fought for money and power, and the ones who do the funding are the ones who make the rules, and they are the big winners after it is all over, no matter which side wins. All must pay their bill, and if a Nation fails to pay, the American Marines and Navy come to call. If a leader stands up to America, he or she is murdered, or deposed, or even arrested. One thing you Muslims need to do is let your Women speak! Men have run things for way to long now.
Time to once again be aware of the Divine Feminine and all that entails. Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose, so said Janis Joplin, and I believe that.

Great thread and I agree! I am an American, not too proud of our leaders tho, anyway, it is great for the Iranian PEOPLE to be able to harness this great power source and help THEIR economy. Do I agree with what the regime over there does, no, absolutley not. Do I agree with what the United States has become in its socialist, dictatorship, unconstitutional ways, with unprovoked wars, false flag attacks, the intentional destruction of the middle class, elite controlled mega corporation run washington d.c. orwellian based ideals, hell no....Do I hate my fellow citizens for it, no, I may be a little disguisted with the laziness of everyones minds not to see the truth but my point is, hoooray for Iran's people, they have a right to exist, or is that just the jews that have that right?

A victory for Iran is a victory for the United States. The more power Israel loses the less influence Israel will have on the United States. This probably isnt over yet though and I wouldnt be surprised if Israel sends "terrorists" to bomb the plant in Iran. LOL Israel needs to be shut down.

I loved that video, too the point. Screw the political correctness.

I'm American. I and many people I know do not support war with Iran. We have short memories it seems and we are falling for the same bull that got us into both of the current wars.

Both sides have done their fair share of saber rattling and escalating the situation. I still have a hard time believing Iran would just nuke the crap out of Israel if they could. I think this is more about dominance than terrorism. Yes, Iran is not never-never land where mice make your clothes and teapots cook you dinner, but that's not the underlying issue when it comes to Iran's nuclear program. Israel obtaining nukes was a game changer and now Iran is simply moving to counter that. I mean really, would us Americans not react in a similar fashion to such a situation? Look at our space program.

This whole thing scares the crap out of me. People say the next person to use a nuke for war will be wiped off the face of the earth. That's not really true. It depends on who's doing the nuking and where. A good example of this is the selective world police enforcement is the fact that Israel has undeclared nukes yet the focus is only on Iran's. Has Israel been seriously sanctioned and/or threatened with military action for this (I'm really asking)? Regardless of the regime I can respect what they are trying to do. It does not look good for Iran though.

Still not making much sense here patriotic to a nation....The nation is the people, the government is supposed to be the people seems like one in the same to me.....One can't be patriotic to one self.

Furthermore, from what I have read Israel did the same thing Iran is doing, that's where Iran got the idea to pause the international community with sanctions while the keep building it.

Israel never got sanctioned, the puppeteers vetoed all sanctions.

I said nothing about sanctions, I just said that the US wasn't all down for Israel to have nukes either, they just stole them like Iran was trying to do. I am not debating on how the world tried to stop either, you can but you will with yourself because that's not my point. The point is that Israel did the same thing, and that's where Iran learned it from. Remember for a long time Iran was the only middle eastern country to support Israel. Israel even supplied them weapons during the Iran Iraq war. The same regime that is, what caused the sudden turn of events?

I never said anything about supporting giving nukes to Israel because I don't, so don't put words in my mouth. You seem to draw whatever conclusions you want regardless of the facts. Finally, not that this means anything because it doeesn't, but A.

Never said you said that.

You went on to rant on how Israel has weapons, which is out of context of this discussion we are talking about Iran not Israel.

We don't need any more countries fielding nuclear weapons.

World doesn't run according to your needs or dictates.

I never said it did. If every country ends up with nuclear weapons though eventually someone will use them on someone else. You need to show responsibility first. Sending your children to walk through mine fields is not what I call responsible and is exactly why I don't think all countries need nukes. They need to grow up first, they are very childish acting nation.

B. Isreal has never used them even after the 1972 war where they lost most of their tanks at the time when they were invaded by their friendly neighbors. I guess that was okay for countries to keep ganging up on Israel in your book.

Check your facts, Israel launched the first attack.

Check your facts that was the 1967 war that your talking about that they preempted. Egypt and Syria attacked Israel in 1972 please look it up and check your facts.

Also Israel doesn't threaten to wipe Iran off the map every 6 months either.

HOAX

Hoax how, because you said it...Thanks your a great source of information.

I am sick of hearing people make excuses for the murdering president of Iran, he meant what he said.

Show me a police report filed against Ahmadinejad for murder or some proof he committed a murder.

I am more talking about the stoning do death of adultry women...Its barbaric, and is murder in my eyes.

They have TV shows starting with a bomb dropping on the American Flag, I guess that is good too.

Can you post a link to such TV show?

I will find it just for you

When was the last tv show you saw stateside where we depicted another country being bombed?

Oh no we clearly disguise our threats of war by saying "all options are on table".

Me saying any thing to stop you from doing something is much better imho then saying We should wipe you off the map your a mistake. But who am I?

I am under no illusions about my government or the Israeli government. I don't follow them blindly I have my own opinions. Many of them don't agree, I just am not going to be oh in the Israel and America are the cause of the worlds problems cause that is just plain stupid.

To the OP,

More anti-american protests about how we oppress others and want to hold people back. I find it ironic that the world wants us to play "world police", but then they all want to turn on us. Yes Iran has the right to nuclear power, and this shows awesome cooperative efforts from Russia, Iran, and the IAEA.

However, in terms of uranium enrichment, please remember that Iran is sketchy at best, refusing surprise UN inspections. There is no reason to refuse these unless you have something to hide and need the time to properly conceal said misdeeds. If Iran would just hang its head and settle with fuel swap deals, it would see that in the end, they would be supported by the world and not feared.

The question about this whole nuclear agenda is: Is Iran pressing on just to spite the world with their big ego, for the betterment of their people, or trying to create a nuclear deterrant behind closed doors.

(I apologize for the rant, but to me it seems painfully obvious that most of these anti-everything posters forget to have some perspective when posting.)

Thank you so much for your post. I let out a deep breath after reading it. The further into this thread I read, the sicker I became. The hate in this thread alone is soul-crushing.

TO ALL OF THE AMERICAN HATERS:

I am an American citizen (one of the people that so many of you hate) and I want you to know that I do everything in my power to bring about a better government. I vote and not randomly. I learn about these politicians and I make an informed decision. I write and call my representatives to let them know how I feel about issues. If they vote the way I want, I vote to re-elect them. If they don't listen, I don't vote for them again. This is the extent of my power.

If people would use the energy they put in hating into finding a way to understand (or even tolerate) those that think and live differently, a change could be brought about. I'm not delusional. I know that hate will still be a motivating force. This isn't a change that can happen overnight or even in a century, BUT it can happen. And, it can start with your choice to spread the hatred or seek a logical, peaceful solution. It can start with one person and it can spread.

For all of you who read this thread and feel the hatred and the frustration and just want to put it out of your mind and not think about it because it causes so much pain....DON'T! Do take at least one positive step to spread understanding and tolerance. For example, find the family living on your street that are most different from your family and introduce yourselves, invite them for a walk around the block, get to know them a little better, try to understand how and why they are different and try to appreciate those differences. Be brave, they are just your neighbors, right?

logicalthinking, thank you again.

Really? I mean, Really?

This is my first post here in a LONG time. But I have to address this misguided post.

I work for 2 Egyptians. I work with Somalians, Eritreans, Senegalis, and an Ethiopian. All Muslim. I have an insight into their world, and I do not harbor a hatred of Islam at all. I have actually asked them this question. "Out of the Muslim countries, who is the Crazy one?" With 100% agreement they all said Iran. The majority of Iran's people feel the same way about their government.

They say one thing, and you are believing them, but don't you think for 1 minute that they will not develop an atomic bomb. Because I can assure you, they will and probably already are.

So, Godspeed Iran? Sure OK, I hope you like Falafel.
