I just want it to be fair down the line. My view is more down the middle but neither side should get away more than the other.

I agree that the talking heads are showing their penchant for hypocrisy and doing exactly what you're saying. Also, if the beck's, limbaugh's , and hannity's are on the air saying it then that means there is a large amount of people who feel that way beacause those guys wouldn't alienate their income base. With all that said, good constitutional conservatives understand that the rights provided in the constitution apply to all americans.

However, I think we can all agree that the people building the mosque could have been a little more compassionate to the victims of the 9/11 events and chosen a different nickname and location for the mosque.

What is the Constitutional argument?

Oh never mind, the Constitutional scholar attempted to make THIS about that, so we already know what the progressive argument is.

When the Constitution can be used to push an agenda, it is used, if not piss on the Constitution.

At one time, they held CHURCH services in the federal buildings.

Now, you cannot pray at the steps of the Supreme Court.

Now, you cannot sing the national anthem at the Lincoln Memorial.

Now, if you are a principal, a coach, a teacher or other government paid official, your FREEDOM OF SPEECH is removed.

Please, quit DEFLECTING what this is about.

Quit being politically correct.

Reason with your mind. This has NOTHING to do with the Constitution. It has to do with tolerance and an agenda these people are pushing.

Not religion, but people.

Now, the government has OFFERED TO GIVE FREE LAND for a mosque to be built.
