While I can’t point to any one of the “gods” out there and go, “That’s the real one” It is a lot easier to strike from the list, the ones you know are not gods. Pretty safe to say that the earth is a, big freaking chunk of slightly unpredictable rock. Nothing more nothing less. To worship and idealize it, is to be absurd.

If you try to shift a car into reverse as you are going forward, and it violently bucks and skids to a stop, I could say that it was a backlash from the auto god that you are in, for doing something wrong.

Just because a natural, or mechanical system produces a far greater reaction than any perturbation you may have feed into it, doesn’t mean that it’s alive, and thinks. It just means that it is a system with a loop gain greater than 1 to 1

For ham radio operators to say that the radio gods don’t like him today because conditions are bad on 80 meters, or a computer programmer complain about the computer god not liking him because his program won’t work is obviously talking about something that doesn’t exist. It is just natural forces of the mechanical and biological world around us.

So, I can’t say what is a god, but it is obvious when something isn’t. For those things I hold to be self evident, this is one of them.

And there are many, many other Gods in historical texts. Now I know what the Christians will say, their God is Jesus, a godman made up from several others like him. That being said, the word "God" is not a name, common or otherwise, but it is a job description. I submit that all of the Ancient Gods were in fact ET beings, and the real God lives inside each one of us. His/Her name is "Mon."

It is also a pretty safe bet you are wrong.

Just because you "flyspeck" sitting there behind your computer screen can not even comprehend that this orb we're all traveling through space on is not or could not possibly be a living organism,alludes to your.....(insert word here).

Whilst I am not unsympathetic towards the Gaia hypothesis, I do have to point out that what you wrote is completely misinformed.

First off, what do you define as indigenous? The Celts? Were they indiginous? How about the Aztecs or Maya? Polynesians? The Innuit? because all of these cultures were not focused or had a major god that represented the earth or gaia.

Believing something is one thing, but claiming that all indigenous people did too is just ignorance.

The Earth is the Mother of us all. A worthy entity is Gaia under God. The Father is the Heavens and all that encompass us, and our Mother is the Earth, I see God in everything.

So there is God, and then there are Lords, and then there are men who think they are Lords, and there are Demons who play as Gods.

Plus the christian god is not Jesus. It's god. Jesus is the Messiah which is basically the original god taking human form for a while. Jesus was actually Jewish and really the only difference between Christianity and Judiasm is the Jews think the Messiah hasn't come yet.
