Yikes...hard to believe how she tries spin and deflect this. And how she attempts to protect Breitbart.

"I suspect someone was trying to play him."

The way her mind works just baffles me. The sheer number of times she says child porn...wow.

The NAACP quite possibly did NOT have this video readily available. It was 24 years old, and spokespeople and officers turn over at a higher rate than that. Does anyone know if they had the full tape readily available?

Please, the video WAS NOT 24 years old. Sherrod did not work in the USDA 24 years ago. The 24 years ago is the story she was telling.

As for Coulters rhetoric, do we know who gave the video to Brietbart?

That would tell us what may have been the reasoning.

I think we should speculate some more, lie about the reasons the White House fired her, and exactly when the video took place.

Good point. Thanks. I don't know much about this portion of the incident...the NAACP stuff. Just thought this video was a bit creepy with that child porn stuff and then I went off in a few directions to start looking at the NAACP angle. I think there's a LOT of hearsay in this portion of the incident...the NAACP comments...that's next for me too look into, but I'm not hopeful that there will be many "facts" here.

Ann is such a partisan it hurts to watch her.

A set up? Breitbart has done things like this before, albeit not to this extend and exposure. I never liked Ann, she's a shill for neo-cons who dares call herself a conservative.

Something in the way she thinks strikes me as so fundamentally off.

I've read all her books and have tried to understand, but it's a huge effort for me. Yes, she's definitely a neocon shill, and she seems to be losing it...never seen her quite as, um, shook up. Wonder what that's all about....

Maybe she's the one who played him?

You may be right. I wouldn't be surprised if she's accusing some one else of something she did. You never know, there's a lot of dirty games a foot these days..

Quite possible.
Sure was interesting how the full version magically and conveniently appeared almost as soon as this story went viral.

If a group of folks are willing enough to place plants at tea party events for the purpose of intentionally causing disruption and possibly even violence, then it's extremely possible they could have played a game of gotcha when Breitbart took the bait.

Think about it, the video came from a NAACP member.

Exactly. Though whether he fell for it or not is sort of irrelevant to the outcome, it would be very interesting to know who set him up if that is true. I haven't seen him say much either way, have you? He definitely hasn't apologized yet, has he?

There's probably more to this than we'll ever know. I still haven't looked up when she gave the speech or the rest of the NAACP stuff, which again will probably be mostly hearsay, other than their official statements.

The other thing still a bit odd to me is why the woman who forced her to resign on the spot said what she did about the Beck show. Was that really the "official" take, causing the viral rumors that Obama was after Fox to fly, or was it chit-chat type of conversation between two women?

Gingrich blames Obama administration for his attack on Sherrod

If this wasn't so pathetic, it would be hilarious. Who know, maybe it is hilarious. What a bunch of clowns.
