This is interesting for JFK assassination researchers. I've always felt Sturgis and E. Howard Hunt played a key role in the Kennedy assassination.
Looks like Sturgis was planting favorable news articles in local papers in the build up to the Bay of Pigs. Sturgis also owned the Top Hat club in
Virginia Beach. Virginia Beach restaurants and hotels being notorious as money laundering locations for the mob back in the day. No citation for that
last comment about Va Beach, I grew up there and it's just "common knowledge". So what was going on in 1954 that would have had Frank Sturgis
missing? CIA Guatemalan coup d'etat?

Each week, Pilot researchers spend a couple of hours on the microfilm machine scanning old newspapers for interesting stories which we then use in our
“This Week in History” column that runs each Sunday next to Paul Clancy's column on page 3 of the local section.
This week, we came across an interesting story from July of 1960 where a young native of Norfolk and "Former Rebel", predicted that the island
nation of Cuba would be invaded within three months by anti-Castro forces. (Norfolk Ledger Dispatch July 21, 1960)
The young man’s name was Frank Fiorini.
This piqued our interest and we decided to look into our files and see what we had on Mr. Fiorini.
