I just wish that someone somewhere would just be honest from the get-go. Surely they are all trying to get to the same conclusion and give us the data we need so we know what is actually happneing. Instead they all seem to just want to point fingers and stir up trouble. Surely all this could have been avoided.

No doubt we have some impact. It simply is not that much. A few exceptions are places like the gulf oil spill, towards which the destruction there is so large becomes we messed with some 40,000 pounds of pressure per sqr inch.

In general though, not that bad.

never forget. Earth was prospering in oxygen levels 30% higher than now in the Precambrian, and flourishing at times much lower than now. We have a wide range of survivability. The question is when is the tipping point?
