Jailer who posed for Playboy placed on leave

LITTLE ROCK — A Washington County jailer who posed nude for a Playboy website has been placed on administrative leave with pay.

Washington County Sheriff's Offices spokesman Kelly Cantrell said 21-year-old jailer Jessie Lunderby was placed on leave Sunday, the first shift she was due back at work since the sheriff's office began investigating whether she violated department conduct by appearing in the pictures.

I don't think she should be reprimanded in any way. It's not like she was on duty and posing for pictures. She didn't do anything illegal, I wonder if they suspend any male cops that go to strip clubs.

It's not like she made the department look bad, hell I might drive up there and get arrested now .

Interesting story, and I just thought I would share.

You are right she shouldn't be reprimanded in any way. What someone does on their own time should not be any employers concern. I would say reprimand her if she had her uniform on in these photos but she did not. In fact she was probably paid pretty well from playboy. I would love to see more jailers that looked that good it would make being in jail that much easier to deal with. She is probably the nicest person you will meet at that jail.

I agree that this is nothing to get fired for but to be honest you can get fired for way less than posing in playboy.

I'm sure she is not hurting for the position anyway those playboy models get payed pretty well.

It is sad how politically correct we have to be in this day and age especially when it comes to nudity.

The human body should be celebrated not treated as if it is some sort of sin to appreciate.

I think it is all going to come down to one thing and that is RESPECT. They figure that she will have alot of disrespect from the inmates and it may cause problems.If you want to see a little more here is a link. Very tastefully done I must add.

BOOOO! That is not sharing, there isn't even a pic! How you gonna put up a headline like that and not put up the pic?

Anyhow, they were probably worried about the men going to jail on purpose. This is Arkansas you know. Get drunk, beat the ol' lady, tell her the cops are better looking than her and you'd rather spend the night in jail. (or any number of Arkansas variations to that nightly scenario, feel free to insert sister or cousin wherever it seems appropriate depending on your location in the state. Northern Hills, Boston Mountains, etc will have different characters than say Little Rock or Conway.)

Seriously! This could be a problem! Inmates putting stuff up their rumps just to have the jailer going to look for it! Inmates cannot have porn in the jail, but if the porn works there, how can you control that?

Maybe she was meaning "undercovers with cops". Could be that she really has a thing for those uniforms
Also what people do in their freetime is their business. If she want's to do playboy pics or even HC action flicks then it's not the business of the employer.

I do understand why she's reprimanded though.... Her job is about setting an example... This, ladies and gentlemen, is a bad example...

Sigh. I was just about to say that we cannot determine is she was wrong, unless we see the pics. Ok, enough of me being a pig.

I do understand her employer's concern. If she works in a male prison, she may already be exposed to disrespect. After posing in Playboy, this disrespect could be increased. This could lead to problems within the inmate population.

I do think posing in any magazine saying you want to be a undercover cop is a curious decision. Arkansas is in the "bible belt" and I'd say religious leanings had as much to do with her suspension as professional ones.

I'd bet they hide her for the week it takes to be forgotten and then say bad, bad girl, get back to work

Indeed. Corrections will be difficult to continue in. Transfer her to another Bureau. Say Health. She sure is healthy.
