WOW i just could not believe this when i saw it! I don't think any of us would survive with an arrow pierced trough our neck!

A goose with a nine-inch arrow through its neck would seem to be a severely compromised animal.

“It looked fine to me,” said one of the fishermen, Bishmi Anderson, who comes to the lake every Thursday and Friday on his days off from work. “Just had that thing in his neck.”

WHAT? I don't think it looks fine..poor animal.

All morning long, a gaggle of park rangers armed with nets and treats pursued their quarry, but the goose, standing erect and wearing its arrow almost like a particularly punk piercing, repeatedly ran, flew and swam off.

Looks like a goose with an arrow trough its neck is smarter then those ^^ rangers.

I'm not real big on the formalities of hunting...

That doesn't appear to be a typical bow-and-arrow type arrow.

Maybe a bolt from a crossbow?

And...if it is from a crossbow--is bow hunting waterfowl the norm?

It is from a crossbow, and the tip on it is the most common for target shooting with the crossbow.

Poor goose, at least he's alive.
