Oil spill "flames" on the live feed?

This live stream of the oil well on Cnn.com currently shows what looks almost like "flames" emanating from the spill. I haven't seen this before while watching the feed, and I have no way of knowing whether this is unusual or not. I am not an alarmist, so I will lean toward this being nothing of particular importance for the time being. On the off chance that someone with greater knowledge than an uneducated layman such as myself might be able to illuminate this facet of the spill though, I thought I should post it just in case.

Initially I thought they were bubbles, but they look flame-like. Are they doing any welding?

Fascinating, regardless.

I can see what You are writing about , and yes it does look a lot like a small flame . But I am also no expert in this field so we will have to wait for somebody more qualified to get a straight answer

agreed looks like a flame - could be welding but i doubt it with a flame as big as the one i'm seeing? - anybody?
