I rec'd an email from a buddy of mine about a recent Drug Lords home being raided. The following pictures are just some of the ones that were sent to me.

The reason I say we don't stand a chance in the Drug War: Money & Power:

The House:

The Hottub:[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/00082e63b981.jpg[/atsimg]
The End Game:

The Cash: What it's all about:
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/340332f9e467.jpg[/atsimg]
This pile of cash before it was counted was estimated to be approximately 18 Million Dollars! After it was counted it turned out to be a little more than 22 Million Dollars!

Another cabinet stack tight with cash - all 100's

Toys and collectables:
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/16e341536919.jpg[/atsimg]
Gold machine guns and pistols - most were never fired, just held for collection value
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/f62c33ba5d7f.jpg[/atsimg]
A collection of exotic animals - which were cared for in the grandest fashion by the way

I have several other pics of more money, more house, more toys/guns and more rare animals but for the interest of space I just did a sampling.

The emailed ended with this truthful and telling assessment:

There are believed to be approximately 27 more of these houses in Mexico alone not to mention the ones in other countries who are enriching themselves in the drug trade. These people have so much money, they make the Arab oil sheiks look like welfare recipients. Their money can buy the best politicians, the best cops, the best judges, whatever they need they just throw down stacks of cash and it is theirs! This is why the drug problem is so difficult to fight.

The money alone is mind-boggling. These guys or their replacement will make this much and more if a more serious approach to the drug war isn't taken.

If I remeber correctly the pictures of the money and the gold plated Ak 47 came from one of Saddam Hussiens palacesm, and have appeared on this website before in that context.

Kudos to the drug lord for keeping his cash neat and tidy. It just doesn't seem real. With that kind of cash on hand nothing is off limits to these goons.

What Error? those pictures of the Ak and the money were floated around on this site back in 2003 as part of Saddam Husseins stash. The Ak picture has been on some wanna be rappers myspace page since late last year. The House and the Hot tub probably belong to a drug lord I give you that. but the money photo and the Ak photo have been passed around many times before . I am not sure that your source meets the terms and conditions of this website you might want to ask a mod.

I guess the error I see is you won't go google it yourself but instead sit there and question the sources. Here is another one. Hopefully it meets the requirements.

Behold! the palace of phallus. Must be a symbol of drug lord machismo!

Good find!! Not sure if you should take that as a compliment though

We don't stand a chance in the Drug war!

Actually we're the only thing sustaining the drug war, by spending billions of dollars every year to give cartels a monopoly on drug manufacturing and distribution.

If we legalize drugs, they will literally go out of business, virtually overnight.

The gold plated suppressors are a nice touch. You certainly don't want to ruin the clean lines of gold AK. Most drug lords wouldn't have the attention to detail as this guy.

Excellent point.

I should have noted that but wasn't focus on that aspect. And, I agree with you-mostly. For another time though.

Star for you for such a great point of view.

Perhaps the drug lord bought the AK47 from the US after it was seized from Saddam's palace.

I think Mexico has missed a trick here. What they should do is legalise all narcotics in Mexico. The violence will stop, trillions of legal dollars will flood into mexico from huge numbers of narco tourists from the states. Atleast they should build a Las Vegan type city or 10 where anything goes...this war is never ending and its causing misery upon alot of inncoent people. If people are determined to ruin their lives with coke etc then why not let them and take the profits and do something useful with the cash like put a decent infrastructure into mexico. Whatever America is paying mexico in terms of money to fight this endless war on drugs, it would be far better to end it this way for all concerned.

The picture of the big pile of money has been on the internet for years on end. I have seen it many times and once it was used in a news story about how they found that cash in some mexican raid. They are probably recycling pics from before.

As far as the rest, it wouldn't surprise me.

The Cash picture turns out to be from an actual drug bust (not Saddams money) from 2007 the amount is not 18 or 22 million dollars but 207 million. This photo has also been used by the media to show what was supposedly Saddam Husseins stash. Interesting that the Dealer was Chinese and working out of Mexico City. The Guns I cannot verify one way or the other as the photos have been used to show Saddams guns and this drug dealers guns. To me the backdrop in the photo looks like one od Saddams Palaces.

DEA Press Release is here Two Hundred and Seven Million in Drug Money Seized in Mexico City

I wasn't going to get involved into this debate but your the first one to get it right!(the room full of cash) It was 207 million, and it was a Chinese national who became a Mexican citizen in order to be a pharmaceutical manufacturer owner and was selling the base for methamphetamine manufacturing to a Methamphetamine manufacturing cartel, etc etc.
