The Bilderberg group is the stuff that conspiracies are made of. It is an elite group of rich, powerful, and influential people from around the world, and no one from the outside is allowed to know what is discussed. This group doen't have a website, and answers the phone with a simple recording. This weekend they will have their 50th anniversary meeting at the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees in Stresa, Italy. Powerful world leaders will meet behind closed doors and discuss who knows what. Is it a strange coincidence that President Bush will happen to be in Italy this weekend?

BBC - Bilderberg: The ultimate conspiracy theory
The Bilderberg group, an elite coterie of Western thinkers and power-brokers, has been accused of fixing the fate of the world behind closed doors. As the organization marks its 50th anniversary, rumors are more rife than ever.

For four days some of the West's chief political movers, business leaders, bankers, industrialists and strategic thinkers will hunker down in a five-star hotel in northern Italy to talk about global issues.

Not a word of what is said at Bilderberg meetings can be breathed outside. No reporters are invited in and while confidential minutes of meetings are taken, names are not noted.

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

The list of names on who's there makes the U.N. look like a P.T.A. meeting at a local school, and the topics are hush-hush. Some believe that this organization meets each year to decide how to best run the world. It's no surprise that the theories and speculation grow as no one outside the group is allowed in on their conversations. What exactly is the purpose of these meetings, and what does this group hope to accomplish? We can only guess, but feel free to create your own theory. No one from the Bilderberg group will correct you if you are wrong.

Apparently two reporters from the Economist will be attending as well. Sounds like a little media manipulation in the form of a "great group of peace-minded people" article will be coming out after the meeting.

I was surprised to see people such as Mrs. Bill Gates (head of the Gates Foundation) and Ralph Reed formerly of the Christian Coalition are going to be attending as well. I'll be following the story and I'm very interested in what might come out of the 50th meeting, especially given the upcoming election and the current state of world affairs.

But you will notice who is:

USA - Edwards, John - Senator (D. North Carolina), Democratic Presidential Candidate

He is there to represent John Kerry as John is the annointed one this time around. Bush may want in and will beg on his hands and knees but I am sure either Rothschild or Rockefeller will kick him out crying.

Of course Bush's name isn't on the list, but it just so happens that he's in Italy this weekend for a couple of days. How nice is that? Can't have a world leader's meeting without one of the head Skul-N-Bones characters there now can we?

I believe that Clinton dropped in on one of these as well.

he didn't just drop in. Oxford folk have the proper ties, Bush is not in the inner circle anymore...

This is interesting, Edwards went to law school at University of North Carolina. How does he get his name on the list? Unless.....Does this mean that he is the choice for the v.p. slot? I've heard his name mentioned a few times lately as the top pick. He is well liked by everyone. I would say it would be a good bet.

I would say that this is a very good sign of Edwards being the VP nom. Anyone want to hypothesize about why there is so much "new blood" this year? After looking through the previous year's rosters it appears there are a lot of first timers like Edwards this year. I'm beginning to think that there may be some big decisions made and I doubt its a coincidence that Bush is in Italy. Also the conference ends two days before the Venus transit on the 8th. And I want to kick myself for being this nutty, but it ends 6/6/2004 = 6/6/2+4=6=666. Yeah, I don't really believe in it either, but wanted to point it out there bad timing. Don't these people know better by now than to constantly add fuel to the fire?

Bush is part of the Carlyle Group. Bilderboogers are Euro competition we could do without from the prespective of the capital hill gang.

European Union and its like are no friend of ours with them slapping trade sanctions on us... in of all times a recession.
