Why? Nothing new under the sun, these are just a bunch of racist black kids who actually thought Obama was going to help them.

I hope they've figured it out by now; this video was 2 years ago.

And teaching them to be brats, "demanding from our fathers..."
the danger is staggering

[edit on 27-3-2010 by Janky Red]

It reminds me of the novel 1984. Am I the only one that remembers the "Spies." They were children trained from an early age to terrorize their parents and turn in any one guilty of "thought crime." Parents were absolutley scared stiff to discipline their kid or talk around them. The kids ended up wild and crazy brats. Then the grew up to be unquestioning party members.

We must watch over our children and ensure that they do not meet such a fate.

Excuse me? I show you the origin of the video, the TRUE origin of the video and that makes me a propagandist and somehow afraid of the truth? That makes no sense whatsoever.

The TRUTH is that Obama had nothing whatsoever to do with these boys making up this little step dance routine and putting the video on the Internet. These are not his little minions. (I think he could do better
) I'm sorry if that TRUTH is hard for you to swallow, but there it is.

You are the one that keeps saying Obamas secret negro army. We never once said that name. That is your propaganda so own it.
I could care less about the kids video because Obama never referred to it in his speech that I referenced. Obama got on national television and gave a speech about a NATIONAL CIVILIAN ARMY. That is a fact. I watched the speech and gave you a link to see it on you tube. The fact you choose to ignore it is also the spreading of propaganda. His words cannot be anymore clear than in that speech.

You seriously believe that watching a 21 second out-of-context soundbite is enough research to validate such an inflammatory position? Accusing people who do the legwork to get to the bottom of the matter of spreading propaganda?

From FactCheck.org

Q: Is Obama planning a Gestapo-like "civilian national security force"?

I read a quote from Rep. Paul Broun from Georgia which stated that Obama wants to set up a civilian national security force that was similar to the "Gestapo" or the Nazi Brownshirts. What is the truth behind Obama's statements that he wants to create a "civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded [as the military]"?

A: This false claim is a badly distorted version of Obama's call for doubling the Peace Corps, creating volunteer networks and increasing the size of the Foreign Service. This question stems from an interview that Republican Rep. Broun of Georgia gave to The Associated Press Nov. 10. The story carried a headline, "Georgia congressman warns of Obama dictatorship." It said that Broun "fears that President-elect Obama will establish a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist or fascist dictatorship." And it quoted him this way: Rep. Paul Broun, Nov. 10: It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's [Obama's] the one who proposed this national security force. ... That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did. Similar claims have been circulating in right-leaning blogs and conservative Web sites ever since July, when Obama made a single reference to a "civilian national security force" in a campaign speech in Colorado. Obama's detractors make much of his expansive (and exaggerated) description of such a force as being "just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the U.S. military.

They also ignore the context. Obama was not talking about a "security force" with guns or police powers. He was talking specifically about expanding AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps and the USA Freedom Corps, which is the volunteer initiative launched by the Bush administration after the attacks of 9/11, and about increasing the number of trained Foreign Service officers who populate U.S. embassies overseas. Here is the relevant portion of what Obama actually said, with the sentences quoted selectively by Broun and others in bold.

Obama, July 2, Colorado Springs, CO: [As] president I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots [from 75,000] and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals, like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing in the world, so that citizens see their effort connected to a common purpose. People of all ages, stations and skills will be asked to serve. Because when it comes to the challenges we face, the American people are not the problem – they are the answer. So we are going to send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We'll call on Americans to join an energy corps, to conduct renewable energy and environmental clean-up projects in their neighborhoods all across the country. We will enlist our veterans to find jobs and support for other vets, and to be there for our military families. And we're going to grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy. We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.We need to use technology to connect people to service. We'll expand USA Freedom Corps to create online networks where American can browse opportunities to volunteer. You'll be able to search by category, time commitment and skill sets. You'll be able to rate service opportunities, build service networks, and create your own service pages to track your hours and activities. This will empower more Americans to craft their own service agenda and make their own change from the bottom up.

Does that sound like a force that could kick down your door in the middle of the night and haul you off to a Gulag or concentration camp? You decide.

If THAT, in the video, is Obama's army... I'm not too worried.
I might even be inclined to buy some cookies from those guys.
Now, if on the other hand, if they show up to my house looking for trouble, I'm gonna have to make their mamas really, REALLY sad!

Or it could be "Black Panther's" or how about "Acorn".
Look those names up, learn about them.

Again, people having fun by removing context from things. That's classic propaganda, although with the amount of soundbites & clips available online which are edited or not adequately described, I think it's mostly unintentional.

Long & short of it is that Obama had nothing to do with those kids doing that. Sure, it's creepy, but it's not big O's pet project.

To the poster above who questioned kids demanding more from their fathers, I ask you one thing.

Is it really that bad for kids to want their fathers to actually be a parent? I think that's the point that was being made. To many dead-beat dads now a days. There's nothing wrong with asking them to actually raise their own kids. I doubt that the point of that line was to ask dad for a new car.

EDIT: Janky, after going back & rereading your post on page 2, I'm not sure anymore if you were serious or utilizing satire. Hard to tell now a days.

There are real grievances about Obama Care without clouding the debate with misconstrued legislative language. I'm as against this HCR as much as most other people but we really don't need to throw BS into the mix.

I have seen the videos a few times and they are VERY disturbing. I would love to know why people are putting up with this sort of indoctrination.

I didn't ignore it, I've seen it many times in the past 2 years. I've also seen it in full context and know what he's talking about. I think you're getting a little too uptight about all this. I suggest a massage or a nice cup of chamomile tea.

This is true. I've noticed that Janky is the king (or queen) of satire.
Funny stuff.

Hey suicydking, thanks for doing additional legwork. I had read about it and could have posted about it, but facts mean nothing to some people, as has been clearly illustrated.

Thanks for helping add context to everything. It still makes me a little nervous. That could be because I'm reading 1984 again.

Every time I read that book my paranoia level jumps a few notches.
