2012 nonsense

Please do me a favor and offer some legitimate evidence of your 2012 fiasco. All i read is ancient prophecy and pseudoscience.

Nibiru-Nonexistent. Unseen by telescopes or the naked eye. Nothing that shows even an inclination that it's real.

Physical pole shift- Umm no. Our axis hasn't deviated more than 5 degrees in 120 million years. Just for reference the earth reversing rotation is impossible.

Magnetic Pole shift-Happens every so often. No biggie. No reason to expect one in 2012.

Solar flares kill the grid-It's possible but improbable. Sattelites can be shutdown. he power grid can be cranked down if needed as well. But 2012 is projected to be light in the solar flare department.

Alignment with center of galaxy-And the only special alignment in 2012 is with saggitarius and that happens every december and we're still here.

The dark rift will get us-It's a dust belt

But Sticchin said-1st off he needs a new translator. He's inaccurate. Just for reference he sumerians left very few records of astronomy and they did NOT know of neptune uranus or pluto. They didn't even know he planets orbitted the sun. Sticcin's books were fiction.

We've got pictures of Nibiru- No you don't. Every pictur eof "Nibiru" is easily identifiable as something else. Hell the most popular one was actually a nebula.

Sp please stop fearmongering. And if you choose to do it, get the facts right.

Thank you for posting this! I'm not going to be an a***ole and crap on the thread of someone who sincerely believes this junk. It's a relief to be able to vent a bit.

Yeah, the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. So what! It had to end somewhere. My calendar ends December of THIS YEAR!!!

Should I be afraid. Someone please tell me what this means.

People like prophecies, they always have. Someone has been talking about how the world is going to end since the begining of civilizaiton. In 2012 a couple prophecies line up, and people get really excited. "I want to believe." Some people want to believe so badly that they interpret obscure fiction and trivial observations as all being evidence of something much bigger going on. They will tell you about this body of fiction and nonsense and call it proof, and they'll have it no other way. I expect that such fanatics will join this conversatoin before too long.

Too true, and it makes me think, how can I get beyond this current 2012 hysteria, and onto the next big prophecy, after all, "the early bird get's the worm" so to speak, gotta be some money making opportunities out there, if ya get on the bandwagon for the next end of the world scenario....

I will give 3 grand to the person who can post an actual documentation of an ancient civilization saying something will specifically happen in 2012. (I don't want one lone wolf's wrong interpretation). The thing is, all these ppl do is listen to and read bad science. This is why not 1 single scientist will say that 2012 is anything of importance. It is because they are educated and they don't let History channel and Google be the basis for their research.

It's not nonsense.

It's the very real phenomena of people who don't want to get a real job making a living off of gullible people. Charlatans, snake-oil salesmen, scam artists, con men, there have been a number of names for them over the centuries and the scams are various and have become modern.

2012 is just a modern scam.

I don't see anything happen in 2012. The Maya's may have believed it is the fifth time the world comes to an end, but I don't. People also worried about the year 2000. No armageddon there either.
In some spiritual circles it is believed that 2012 will be the year when people will have a growing knowledge of environmental issues and how to resolve them, and more universal love and peace. I think that is a far more pleasant scenario than the whole Armageddon crap.

Because other people aren't as reasonable and will give their entire wealth to people who only want to scam them for crappy books about events that will not happen in 2012.

Fair enough. I don't like the exploitation either. I would like it much more if people would through their behaviors and words bring about a sort of change in society, rather than milking on people's desire for something new or for a merciful death (which I guess is also something new). However, I do not know that all who promote 2012 do so for the wrong reasons, so I will not judge. People choose to be a catalyst in their own way. Not saying that there are not those who feed paranoia for money, as that seems obvious. But those who approach the scenario in a different light I will not judge.

2012? haha, if your thinking that something terrible/amazing is going to happen in one day and change the world, your sadly mistaken.

the whole 2012 phenomenon is based around what is happening in the current world, with government tyranny's falling and being exposed.

basically the truth, is getting out, slowly, little by little.

tbqh, 2012 is not the year to lookout for.

it's 2011 which the most influential events will take place, 2012 will just be a continuation of that.

hell, if i were to go out on a limb, I'd say things are really going to become apparent towards the end of this year.

or, i could be completely wrong and utterly delusional!
