A crater that is 35 million years old was found under the waters of Lake Chesapeake.

Great post, thanks for sharing. Having helped my parents drill a new well not too long ago, I never thought of the possibility of brine pockets existing.

Then again, that was a lot of destructive energy released with the impact and the change on the landscape was massive.
