Jobcentre's sorry for the spurn of the Jedi

www.thesun.co.uk

A JEDI believer won an apology from a Jobcentre which threw him out for refusing to remove his hood.
Chris is a member of the International Church of Jediism - based on the sci-fi films - whose doctrine states that followers should be allowed to wear hoods.
But when he protested, security escorted him from his local branch in Southend, Essex.

Chris Jarvis is protesting a valid point here. I believe he would of been better to enter a Bank
yes a Bank where the right to wear Head and Face covering is allowed for respect of customers religion out-ways all customers right of safety!

Wendy Flewers apologised, adding: "We are committed to provide a customer service which embraces diversity and res-pects customers' religion."

LOL Good for him, it would be interesting to see what would happen if the Jedi council adopted the wearing of pajamas then decided to do their shopping at Tesco.

Also, if Sikhs can keep a dagger on their person for religious reasons then surely a Jedi has the same right to carry a light saber ?

The world is getting freaking madder by the minute !

Fantastic way to expose the insane PC culture of the UK.

Seriously though,if the government rate scientology as a religion, they do not have a leg to stand on when they try to marginalise the mighty Jedi.

"Strike me down,Darth, and I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

Yoda would be proud.

Yep next someone will ring up the crazies in secret service and say he is a threat to the secret service, and americans, because he has eyebrows.

The secret service will make him there no1 enemy, and desperately try to murder him in his home, and he never ever wants to goto america.

The fact that this individual subscribes to this jedi religion nonsense shows immaturity. The staff at the job centre staff are right to eject him and he should get on his space bike and get a job. If I were to give advice on jobs, I would say banking these days is a very lucrative career, fail miserably and still get a big fat bonus.

The force is strong with this one, even so the Dark side threw all this crap at him, he was able to get the empire to back down

It's not long ago that one guy from this religion got booted from a store for the same reason. They in their 'apology' made it quite clear that jedis in the films are quite often without hoods.
