Hi everyone

So after there was a massive UFO sighting in Ireland, an Irish gambling website has received a flurry of activity and bets as to whether or not we will have disclosure or contact in the next few years.

Here is a brief overview of the story: www.casinobeacon.co.uk...

And here are the 2 bets and their odds:

1.

When will Alien Extraterrestrial Life be proven?

Settled on the sitting President of the USA making a statement confirming without doubt the existence of alternative life beings from another planet.
2010 500/1
2011 250/1
2012 200/1
2013 175/1
2014 150/1
2015 125/1
2016 100/1
2017 80/1
2018 66/1
2019 50/1
2020 or Later 1/50

2.

Which country will have 1st Contact?

Applies to the first head of state to confirm their country has been in contact with alternative life beings from another planet.
Others on request.
Ireland 9/4
England 8/1
Germany 16/1
USA 3/1
Australia 10/1
South Africa 18/1
Russia 5/1
Brazil 12/1
Wales 20/1
China 6/1
France 14/1
Scotland 25/1

Interesting odds to say the least...

Hmm, so what are the combined odds for a discolusre in scotland this year (2010) ?
Or are they to be considered two independent variables ?

If they thought they could take your money from you, they would also offer odds on the chances of Elvis working in your local chip shop... in fact, I think they probably do.

They have offered odds on aliens being real, UFOs landing at the Whitehouse etc for as long as I can remember, so at least since the late 1970s.

The fact that they create a book, pull some 'odds' out of thin air, and take peoples money, really means nothing; apart from the fact that 'fools and their money are easily parted'...

Have you another link to the original story too, as I can't find any info.

The only related story I can think of recently has been in the last few days. An object being tracked by Astronomy Ireland amongst others, that was clearly a meteorite, and hasn't been [url=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1248665/Fireball-lights-Irish-sky-extremely-rare-asteroid-falls-Earth-100-000mph.html]reported[/ur l] as anything else.
