Strange, luminous, orange object filmed over Treviglio in Italy which appears to maintain the same altitude, diminish in brightness then fly off up and to the right.

Treviglio, Italy - June 2005:

Treviglio, 18 June 2005, h.21.20 about.
Movie made with Camcorder Panasonik NV-DS 15.
Mini DV format, 20 x optical digital zoom.
Duration: 78 sec.
NE Weather: excellent.

Stage 1: The object is very bright, orange with edge notches dark shades mixed with red and yellow, slowly moves vertically, positioned in front of the cables.

Stage 2: In his slow climb, it seems to pause for a few seconds, to hit to right and jerky.

Stage 3: Abrupt and sudden acceleration, appeared at a distance to bring all the star and finally disappears as a speck zizzagante and nothingness.

Thats weird ...I am now 38 when i was younger 16 i think I saw exactly the same thing with 2 of my friends when we was kicking around a ball at Willenhall comp in the midlands. We saw an orange ball of light near a pylon about 1/2 mile away and it rose higher and higher till it dissappeared. I wonder if the Electricity near these pylons and some other force in the atmosphere or near ground combines to produce these ball lightnings.

Looks like a plane coming in for a landing with it's lights on. When it turns it loses luminosity and you can see the wing lights flash. I see it when I drive home every other day. Add the low fog/clouds and you can call it what you want.

simple... power lines.

notice the spark doesn't stray too far from them, i would be money it was caused by the power lines somehow.

I would say it's a plane, just looked like it banked hence the apparent changed of speed.

Out of interest - what was he filming it on, a trampoline??!!!!!!!....awful quality,

WOW that's pretty strange , it appears real but I don't think it is an electrical phenomena , the question is what is it , what would be helpful is if someone could do a stabilized version of the video .
Good find Karl

It looks like a plane to me, too. I live very near an airport and sometimes go to the park across the water from it and watch the planes land and take off. When they're flying in at the right angle with their lights on, all you can see is a slow and very bright ball of light.

It would be cool if it was something else, though.

Edit: I think you can even see it blinking away in the video.

Is there an airport around there?

I hate when I have to film UFOs during an earthquake.

Why don't people BRACE themselves for cripes sake. Even squat down, and rest the camera on your knee or something.

Sucks when you get to film a UFO but you get a seizure while holding the camera.

Hey carl12 keep up the diggin.

Not sure about this one, I can't have an opinion, its to uhhh"not in your face"

I think if you keep watching Italy you will see many many more from there in the near future.
Reason is that they have recently decided to go nuclear for power and such, and I have my doubts about it being for electricity only..but thats another story all together.

Man, poor old videographers just can't win these days. If the shot's rock solid we get:

"If they are taping a real UFO why are they so calm about it? I’d be freaked out."

If the shot is all over the place it becomes:

"Why are UFO videos always of poor quality or so short? If it was me I’d have a tripod or I’d keep on taping until the end of the tape."

Quite clearly the extended digital zoom is at fault here for the shaking. All those that say 'brace it better', well i'd like to see YOU try ! very difficult to keep the image stable at that kind of magnification. Alas, also distorts the image somewhat .

On further investigation I would have to say that this is a plane coming in to land at Orio al Serio International Airport
maps.google.com...
It was interesting while it lasted

Thanks for posting that interesting video, karl 12

I think the approaching - turning aircraft hypothesis is a very strong one, as per the several member posts above.

If goretex can be a little more succinct with his/her Google maps info, perhaps we can resolve this video with certainty.

I note the Youtuber who posted this video is also hosting Mussain videos on his homepage.......that's always a worry.

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

G'day gortex

How did you determine the relationship with Orio al Serio International Airport?

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

Sorry about that mate , the address wouldn't embed properly.
Just paste Treviglio, Italy into the Google maps search bar then type in airport . the airport is by the green A4 sign .
Treviglio is just to the south of the airport
