Normal children's toothpaste not strong enough to prevent tooth decay, study finds

www.dailymail.co.uk

Parents should use toothpaste with stronger concentrations of fluoride to prevent tooth decay in their children, a new report says.

Researchers found that toothpaste that contained fluoride concentrations less than 1,000 parts per million were only as effective at preventing tooth decay as non-fluoride products.

The study, carried out by the Cochrane Oral Health Group, based at the University of Manchester, has previously shown that fluoride toothpastes reduce dental decay by 24 per cent.

Good ATS'ers.

I think our brains work a little to good for tptb. I hope this is nothing new to the most people, I use plant based toothpaste and since I switched my teeth became much more whiter. Fluoride is one of the most TOXIC compounds known to man, and yet the put it in our toothpaste, some parts of the world in drinking water. Well it the teeth survive right. Well there are enough studies that show that fluoride cause no significant change in tooth strength.

Lets ban fluoride!! It causes brain damage!!

Peace Vincent

What this Cochrane society SHOULD investigate is how much flouride is ingested in OTHER forms, such as in the water supply, foodstuffs and other ways that we are forced to take flouride ( to protect our teeth of course and NOT make us sedate and compliant).

Does this mean they'll stop adding fluoride to the water or they'll just have to add a whole lot more?

I really wish 'they' would stop acting in our 'best interest.'

Oh you mean no one has figured out that toothpaste bought from devil
worshippers like Proctor and Gamble is what actually is causing tooth
decay.
I can remember reps from P & G on the Dina Shore show back in the
seventies. Amoung a host of others from all walks of life coming
straight out and saying the world is run by Satanists just like us. We
own everything and everyone.

I wonder if I can dig that up some where?
I remember that was really something for a while.
Any one else remember that?

There should be NO Fluoride in children's toothpaste because they can ingest it instead of just keeping it in their mouths and then rinsing. Personally, I don't believe that it affects tooth decay at all. A good brushing, flossing and a bi-annual visit to the dentist for scaling should be sufficient for healthy teeth that will last you a lifetime.

The nutters will probably mandate fluoride supplements be given to all so that the populace will have nice healthy fluorosis ridden teeth, bones and organs.

Who does this serve?

My mum always brushes her teeth (well, her dentures nowadays) and has always done so. She lost the majority of her teeth by her early twenties.
My dad has only lost one tooth, and he never brushes his teeth. I mean NEVER!

I'll trust that over any scientist with an agenda, whether genocidal or securing their next round of funding.

As for myself, i'll only brush my teeth if they feel dirty, and i use baking soda or non-fluoride toothpaste. I do floss occasionally, with a hooked needle i crafted or a length of fishing line, as those pesky chunks of BSE cow flesh can be a little annoying!

I'll not speak of the dangers of fluoride here, as i'd only be preaching to the choir.

I'm so glad to not be the only 'Tin Foil Hatter' who guffawed when reading that article. If they're still at the age where they're using special toothpaste for children instead of regular toothpaste, then that is necessary to have low or non fluoride so it doesn't get ingested. Same thing with the sodium sulfates.
